My charcoal Smitty's are the only one of four that I haven't had to replace the zipper in...YET. So having my junk falling out of 3 sets of Smitty's in two weeks does lead one to believe that Smitty is junk.

They offered 14 million or so per year. Until B.J now call me Melvin Upton, no one had ever gotten more from Atlanta. I'm not saying he dumped on us...he just dumped us, as in the Atlanta fans that miss him.

Smitty sucks in all other pants, can't imagine poly wools being any different.

@Umpirechick1, I would have no problem with being on your crew again. And if bunny ears ends up in each crew shot again...then I would wonder what kind of bunny voodoo is in the works. Did you run over a bunny on the way to CDP last year?

I learned more about my astigmatism in this thread. Basketball, especially at the rec level, has the parents right on top of you. I've thrown more people out of basketball games than all other sports combined. Way more running than in baseball. Don't get caught ball watching.

We have our own hate affair with the Canadien Crappers aka Geese. I'm all for a complete extinction of the species.

With all of the press about the Texas football officials getting hit lately it has been on my mind...and then it happened. I had a play run to my sideline for a first down out of bounds. As I am stopping the clock and cleaning up the play I feel something hit me in left side of my abdomen since my arms were over my head. I turn and eventually find #53 had been trying to make a play (late one I guess) and slammed into me. I was still standing and he was wiped out on the ground. Chalk one up for game officials. My white hat, @Umpirechick1 guess who it was , saw the event unfold and said he saw me look around to find the kid on the ground after slamming into me.

For the first 7 years of officiating, I had never had to have game management clean dog excrement off of a field. Now two Saturdays in a row I've had to get the field cleaned up. The real stinky part is that the first week, a kid managed to go through it before game management got it off the field.

It appears as though summer is ready to leave...52 degrees this morning.

I miss Pete and Skip. I miss hearing Harry Kalas with the Phillies. I haven't heard much Vin Scully. I loathe Joe Simpson. I can't stand Chip Caray. Don Sutton is now seemingly better in comparision.

I'd say so, but I was being nice. You wouldn't even talk to us so I knew it had to be bad. Anywhere but CDP and you wouldn't have had a chance, I'd have dumped him and he'd have been out for that game to begin with.

Braves and Phillies are in a fight...to see who sucks less. Having had the misfortune of witnessing what the Braves are doing, the Braves will win the right to the number one draft pick. When they took a 3-2 momentarily yesterday, it maked the first time in a calendar week that they had actually had a lead in a game.

I pulled it up on another PC with a HD monitor and it still looks grey to me.

I'm pretty sure Ron was joking. We even got him to smile during a "medical consultation", He was up there with her for at least the first two weeks, maybe three. Only once have I seen her upset, and it was with a coach that I had warned in the game prior to her having them, and the coach was awful. Anywhere else and I would have probably sent him packing in the game I had him.
