"Ball. No he didn't go!" All verbal, no sign/mechanic

If the fielder is about to receive a thrown ball and the ball is in flight directly toward and near enough to the fielder so he must occupy his position to receive the throw, he may be considered “in the act of fielding the ball.†going with A

The old "Why do we do it this way? Because we have always done it this way"...
-
Yes. That is exactly why. I don't mean this as harsh as it's going to sound, but if you haven't seen that before, and if everything you haven't seen before is going to be illegal, then you are going to call lots of legal things illegal. Sarcasm on the internet is hard lol

The interference was in reference to verbal interference.

Yes. That is exactly why.

Runner on first, if that matters. Slide takes him even closer to the plate. Roughly 6-8 feet away

Question regarding this crazy bunt coverage I witnessed the other day in a varsity high school game. Batter is bunting, defensive team has 2B charge all the way in from his position towards home plate (why? who knows). This 2B is coming hard, by the time the pitch is arriving to the batter he is about 10 ft from home plate. This goes on for about 3 or 4 consecutive pitches, because batter was unsuccessful with bunt or a bad pitch was thrown. No the real kicker is, the defensive team/dugout yells "DOWN" if they see the batter pull back and attempt to swing, which did happen. The 2B, when he hears "DOWN" does a full out regular feet first slide, sliding towards home plate. Luckily, for the 2B sake, the batter was never able to connect on his slash attempt. Is this legal? A safety concern at least? Interference? I don't know. Just something I have never seen before and thought was very odd and unsafe. What say you?

R1, no outs. The pitcher comes set and is just starting to pitch when the batter steps out of the batter's box. Seeing the batter step out, the pitcher stops his delivery to the plate Kill it and start over, no harm no foul? Credit a strike to the batter for delay? Any of you going to balk this?

A lot of guys do that for FREE. Just good to see some live pitching before the season gets going. It doesn't always have to be about the $$$$$

Good find! Just ordered a pair for myself!

1) Depends on if you went out for "trouble ball" - otherwise your call as BU 2) BU call still

There are only a couple of instances where we can get two outs. Is this one of them? The bigger issue that I think some will have questions about (or need to look up, etc.) is where to place the runners. No this is not one of the instances. R1 and BR have gotten to their respective bases though so those are their last legally touched bases. Im leaning towards "D" none of the above

R1, R3 and one out. Ground ball hit back to the pitcher who throws to F2 and gets R3 in a rundown between home and third. During the rundown, R1 advances all the way to third and the BR advances to and is touching second. During the last part of the rundown, R3 is returning toward third base. Just as F5 catches the ball, R3 slaps at the glove to knock the ball loose on the attempted tag. a. The ball is dead immediately, and R3 is declared out for interference. Leave R1 at third. Award the BR first base. b. The ball is dead immediately. R3 is declared out for interference. Return R1 to second, and award the batter-runner first. c. The ball is dead immediately and R3 is declared out for interference. Because he was headed toward third and his actions were willful and deliberate, call out R1 and leave the BR at second d. None of the above. Can we get two outs on this? Leaning towards no, maybe I am just looking into it too much. What'd you guys have?

So is the answer "C" because the wording in the question was "not in intentional"? Therefore we can only get one out, correct?

How have they went? I'll be attending Baltimore next weekend

Wear some type of compression tights

What, the part about calling the runner out when the interfering batter has just struck out? FED 7-3-5 PENALTY, OBR 7.09(e) Somebody has to pay. In this case, the runner has to.

Nice EJ. I would just avoid the "in my judgement" statement. That just usually leads to opening another can of worms.

I'd call that if I was in pro ball. Any other level, no way I am calling it.

Another thing we should borrow from hockey

Google McDavid Hexpad compression shorts. Tons of places sell them now. Nike even has their own versions of them. -

Mcdavid hexpad. Basically a padded compression short. That hockey thing looks too bulky.
