I got an email last night from the Head of the CIF Section, letting me know I was picked to work the Division 3 Championship Game on Saturday. It will be my first ever Championship game and I am working with my first Mentor, when I got into High School Baseball.

I have 2 pairs each of the Plate/base Poly Wools. I Dry Clean them 3-4 times a season. About every 3 weeks. I use a local cleaner that charges me $2.50/each. $10×4 =$40. That is less than 1 High School game fee, to make myself look professional on the field? Well worth the investment imho. Games Worked Too Damn Many

This first part is good advice. I probably shouldn't have gone to my partner on the play at the plate. As for the latter, then I should just listen to this all day? Maybe I should have mentioned that this was at least the third time he said something about it. Anything he disagreed with would get a quip from the dugout about checking with my partner. New info. Plus I may have been hasty in saying you had no business tossing the rat. You can't listen to a coach constantly bring the same sore subject up. Me? If I screwed something up that badly (and I have, more than once), I need to take my medicine and move on. But the rat gets a LOT of rope with which to hang himself. Bam I agree with you 100%, but there comes a breaking point. And when the Coach hits it, I am going to let him know. "Coach I have listened to you bring up that play enough for one game. The next time you reference that play, you will be getting a free ride to the parking lot. Are we clear?" And to be honest that point would probably come about the 2nd or 3rd time he brought up the original call. I will let him get 1 extra jab in, maybe 2 if I am in a good mood. My favorite call this year. Bottom of 7th inning. Runners on 1st and 3rd. 2 outs 3-2 count. R1 off on the pitch. Base hit to right. I get on my horse and rotate to 3rd. I get to the Library plant and get set right as the ball, Runner and Fielder show up. I bang the kid out drop the balls at 3rd and walk right out the gate to go home(with my partner of course).
