I hear that. Prior to my double knee replacement I used to start the inning inning in A and once the first runner reached 1B stay in B and C for the remainder of the half inning. Having R3 score on a 2-2 wild pitch getting back to A to only come in one pitch later was a killer. I think this modification has some merits in some situations.

I’ve considered this too. More with the F3 and AS MAG masks. We have a few here and they are positive about it. I can only recall a couple time that I got hit where the helmet would have mattered.

I clean it after every game. This is a deep deep clean.

With the end of the season I’ve been deep cleaning my gear. It’s amazing to me how much dirt mask pads, shin guards and plate shoes accumulate over a season. I vow to no longer hold my mask out like a collection plate for dirty baseballs.

It’s even easier than that. Call Jeff Cooke at Douglas and have him ship you a 13” pad. Problem solved.

Nope and they don't really care. It isn't about watching the best, those are the best you are watching. LL Baseball is an upside down pyramid and has been for years. Everything is about the tournament in Williamsport for those 16 or so teams. All of the rules are built around it and protecting the brand.

I don’t think you are wrong. My wife also doesn’t like the look of the CP under the coat.

I guess that’s one way to ensure it fits. The “no return policy” is what holds me back.

I think the rule is clear. Can’t be in uniform. At almost all upper levels (college and milb) there are players in the stands charting pitchers, using radar, etc.
