  1. Yeah. Seems like that pretty much what most of us say every time an EJ video is posted.
  2. He didn't step directly to first. I didn't know the 45 foot line thing.
  3. He didn't step to first.
  4. What gets me most about all of these EJ videos is the announcers. Cry babies.
  5. Maybe you are right. I mean about the video, not that we are watching different. I wish I could read Bush's lips better.
  6. Nobody here has any idea what Bush said after that call. Bush didn't start towards the plate until after the ump jerked his mask and hat off to start yelling at him.
  7. That umpire, whoever he is, totally overreacted.
  8. I've done that. SPI Rigging.
  9. I hope you hand gets better and all...really...but where are the pics?
  10. For military (active/reserve/retired) government employees, and law enforcement/emt/fire. Check usstandardissue.com You have to upload or fax a copy of your id to be approved, and the website doesn't show prices until you are approved. You can get a pair of M Frames for $60. You can get a pair of M Frames, 2 replacement lenses, and a hard case for $100.
  11. I'm not surprised at all. Even though most of the kids in the league my sons play in have their own bats and helmets, the league provided catchers gear is a mess. I makes me cringe every time I see a kid up it on. I think I've kicked 10 to 15 helmets at the JV level this year. That kind of surprises me.
  12. Funny stuff.
  13. I had my first 4 game day yesterday. It was fine right up until it was over. Then the pain set in. Looking forward to the next one.
  14. Yep. Out then up. I wear an 8 stitch under my standard profile mask all of the time.
  15. The word used in FED is normal, not natural. "The height of the strike zone is determined by the batter's normal batting stance. If he crouches or leans over to make the shoulder line lower, the umpire determines height by what would be the batter's normal stance."
  16. If I'm not mistaken, the strike zone is to be set based upon the batter's natural batting stance.
  17. Listen I get what your saying...but what happending to "they rules don't say anything about the quality of the throw"? Not saying I'd call it. Just . Relax.
  18. I'd like to pick up wrestling, but I don't know much about it. I'm picking up basketball this winter. Not too thrilled about it, but I want to keep busy. Looks like the NFHS fourms will have to do.
  19. You are right of course, baseball is much more fun than football, but I love both.
  20. Yeah, that batter should have drilled him...well not really, but it what goes through my mind.
  21. I found this post on "In Defense of Norm" interesting and have nominated it accordingly for "Post Of The Month May, 2010"
  22. Here's something that has crossed my mind... Say you got R2 or R2/R3 F2 fields a ball and throws a strike to F3, but BR is still out of the 3' ft running lane. BR is out because of the throw, not the interference. Do you still call INF, which would keep any runners from advancing, or would this be over umpiring?
  23. Doesn't anybody know of a place on the net, similar to this, that caters to football officials? I'm looking for a smaller community with people in the know. Officiating.com seems to be a bunch of blow hards, and I'm not to sure about the NFHS fourms either.
  24. Since the game that I got all the grief, this is the way I've decided to work.
  25. My association started discussing 3-man for the IN tournament last night. What a mess.
