It really saddens me that UA will no longer have their poly wools. I picked up a pair of each last spring and love them. Now I need a couple more so. I have a chance to get the PWs cleaned. I just received a pair of the Smitty PWs from Purchase Officials. First off, they didn't come in the wrapper that Smitty products typically come in. That leads me to believe that I have been sent a returned item. The were just stuffed in a Priority Mail box. They look awfully. Pill ed up and everything. A no brainer return. I decided to check the Honigs PWs, and noticed "New 2013" Ultimate Pants. Do any of you have info on what's so new about them? Thanks Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

What do you think about the pads?

Is there a verdict on this mask yet?
-
Yeah. On the drive home, that's the conclusion that I came too.

D3K. Ball goes to the backstop out side of the 1B line. The throw brings F3 across the bag into fair territory where B1 is running out side of the running lane. Ball, F3, and B1 all arrive at the same spot at around the same time. I got interference. What say you?

Awesome pics dude. I left KC right when the started the renovations. What were the schools? I can't tell from the pictures.

Looks like I need to go back and figure some more mileage. For record keeping, do you record each leg of the travel separately?

Yes he did! Are Fed rules different? Yes but not in this situation haha Does someone have a Fed reference? I've never seen that in a fed book.

What do you guys claim? From where to where? Now, what is legal to claim?
-
The throw to first is the first play by an infielder. The award is two bases from the time of the pitch. R2 gets home and BR gets second.

PU is the only one that matters. 9.04 A(2) Do you have a Fed reference?

I had my first Varsity plate a week or two ago. My heart was racing. As a result, I was quick all night. Missed 3 nice curves because of it. I over committed on a rotation to third and the play ended up at the plate. I made it back in time to make the correct call though. I didn't tell my partner that it was my first Varsity game beforehand because I wanted a good strong critique. In the end, he said calm the help down and work on game management. My first Varsity base game is Monday.

PU has 1-2. Batter swings and misses the next pitch. Home book has 1-2. Visitors book matches what PU has. BU don't know. What do you do?

I've been rained out 3 times today.
-
It's 1:15 and no call yet. Could it be possible?
-
I've been rained out since latest Tuesday, and it's not looking good for the rest of the week.

Amarillo, The way I was taught, the BU gets the "first bite at the apple". However, if the play develops in such a way that the FPSR violation is not clear until the BU has turned away to make the call at 1B, the responsibility shifts to the PU. (PU also has "secondary responsibility" on the "1st bite", if that makes sense.) JM In my OP, I should have said that F4 didn't actually throw to 1B. The BR would have easily beat the throw anyway. I was the PU in that game and watching 2B as I was taught. The BU looked directly at the slide and said nothing. F4 didn't even get the throw off due to the pop up slide. My partner was just a few feet away from 2B and still looking at the play there. So I was stuck because my partner was giving the impression that he was okay with the slide, and for me to make a call of DP at that time would have lead to a bad situation with both my partner and the OC. So I made no call. PU is responsible for FPSR. 2 outs in this situation PU only has responsibility if there is a throw to first.

FED - Yes starting this year - no penalty - and you can still enter a late arrival who isn't on the card. OBR - No I answered True on my Fed Test and got it wrong. Apparently the words Shall and Should are the key on this one. ART. 2 . . . The captain and head coach represent the team in communications with umpires. The captain's and head coach’s duties shall include: 1) providing the umpire-in-chief with his team's lineup card which shall include the name, shirt number, position and batting order of each starting player, the name and shirt number of each eligible substitute should also be listed; You have got to love rule that have no teeth.

I called this a few times last year. I had a game where both starters liked to dangle their arms. Home pitcher would lean in and swing away. TIME. THATS A BALK. Visiting pitcher would lean in and "rock forward and settle" I got nothing. Do any of you see that different?

2 and 3 are either INT or OBS. 4 sounds like a tangle/untangle situation, but could be INT or OBS. Heck, most are HTBT situations. You just have to umpire.
-
No doubt. Everyday that I have to come sit in this cube, I think of an opportunity missed 15 years ago. If its on your mind, go.

I feel you, Jax. I'm in a group where 99% of us are on the same page. There's that 1% the refuse to do the right thing, and it can make things difficult for newer guys. I've come to the conclusion that they are just a minor speed bump on my way to my goals.
