Same issue here bro. I'm buying different shin guards because of it.

Sounds like they expected you to determine that the runner was not denied access to first, maybe? Or, is it possible that it should uave been deemed a tangle/entangled situation

I'm considering one of these bags in a rather large gear purchase I'm getting ready to make. What make the Diamond $20 to $25 better than the Wilson. I could put that money somewhere else, bit I also want to make the right choices for long term happiness. Tom

Good story. Congratulations in the promotion.

I like the base shoes. I'd get the white ones.

I just finished this one. It's the first book that I've read from cover to cover is over 15 years. That got to tell you something. Highly recommend.

Nowhere to go but up? Shake it off.

B1's position on base at the time of OBS is first. If B1 makes second after the OBS, the OBS is ignored. If B1 does not make second, you will award him at least second.

Man. Our scrimmages aren't until the end of March. I'm tired to working indoors.

4/14, and a Varsity/JV DH on 5/2. So far, those are the only games I've been assigned. Still waiting for them to release everything.

I just received my first Varsity assignment.

Run away!

Personally, I've still got nothing. Depending on how the runner reacts, I have OBS.

Smitty Major League Style Umpire Jacket - Black with Powder Blue Trim
tjthresh replied to sgvump's topic in Umpire Equipment
From looking at the pics that I've found, the shade of blue is quite different. The only pic of the Smitty I've seen is on the Purchase Officials site. -
there is a reason they make plate pants and base pants--to be worn on the base and plate-- the combos look to much like plate pants to wear on the bases(too wide in the legs) On an even more important subject--ONLY ONE PAR OF PANTS FOR THE SEASON??????? Yep. What of it? What of it???? how many games do you work ??? after a double are you putting on a dirty pair of pants???--after you take that chip off your shoulder have some class and clean up your act and look the part. I look just fine at all times. The only chip on my shoulder is for folks, seemingly such as yourself, that are quick to judge and presume to know something about me from a forum post. Believe me, of I could afford another pair of pants, I'd have bought them.

What everybody else said.

Thought I'd move this from the newbie thread. I wore combos all last year because I only had one pare all year. I loved them. I bought a pair of plate pants for this year, but have every intention to continue with the combos on the bases. They are comfortable, I think they look good. Nobody bothered to answer my question as to why they were against combos. Does anybody care too now?

Got it from the horses mouth last night, no ls shirts on the bases if you are a member of my association.

I think that covers everything nicely. Good job.
