Wilson has discontinued their pink mask pads recently and I missed the chance to grab one. I could paint one of my synthetic leather black pads pink, but I was wondering if anyone knows the best way to paint these pads without creating a mess.

Look up custom shoe painting. I would think that it would be the same process.

Yup.
Don’t.

It’s a fool’s errand to put all that effort and resources into something that not only isn’t all that protective anyway, but if painted, isn’t going to last in that condition very long.

Your best bet is either:

  • Find pink pads on Amazon, eBay, or a holdout online retailer, or…
  • Obtain some standard pads, and encase them in pink microfiber fabric.

Do you know any online retailers that sell pink pads?

That was going to be my suggestion.  I forget who it was, but somebody on here took an old shirt and had their tailor cover a pair of mask pads for a nice set of blue ones.

I don't know about the durability, but I wouldn't think it would be terribly expensive because it is a small job.

This would be the cheapest and easiest option as everyone else said. Find some pink polyester mesh, take off the old cover, and sew.

Curious...what would you pay for a pink Wilson mask with pink pads? Used twice...

Are you able to send me a photo of the mask?

I'm pretty sure that is a scam website. The most recent review says so. Those masks were discontinued a while ago I believe and have not been up for sale at any trustworthy websites. I was looking to purchase just the pink wilson pads from umpattire but it got discontinued few days ago.

It is MLB umpire Marvin Hudson's business. I'm not sure the scale that it is run on... but if it is a small business run by him... he's likely a little busy right now.

Not a scam website. I – and several others here – know Marvin Hudson personally.
It needs to be said, that not only is Marvin Hudson occupied during the MLB season (he’s #51, after all), but his vending site is not a conventional stock-and-sell site. It’s a reseller, with hardgoods (masks, CPs, other equipment) often drop-shipped direct to the customer from a manufacturer’s distro or warehouse. Marvin (and/or the very few persons assisting him) likely haven’t been notified that the Pink DynaLite is no longer available, or hasn’t been able to update the website.

Based on a recent memo I received from Wilson, it doesn't look like this is discontinued. Just looks like a specialty product with limited releases along with a few other styles.

"Standard dyna-lite steel frame/mask in pink, and the pads would be leather inner and pink PU leather outer"

Do you think it’ll be back in stock anytime soon?

We don't carry them so I have no idea on when those are made available or released to retailers but just wanted to pass on that it looks like it is still being made available to those who wish to carry it.

Do you know any online retailers that still carry them? Retailers like ump attire and hudson51 are all out if stock.

Hey man! Reach out to ump attire, I think they are still going to sell some, ask them. They would know.
