Did a 14u travel ball tourney using FED rules... 3-1 move actually worked and hung R1 out to dry for the 3rd out. Entire offensive dugout is yelling 'but that's a balk!'... all the plate guy said to them was 'high school rules guys... totally legal'...

This past October doing HS Fall ball under NFHS rules , Pitcher did the 3-1 move, no balk called of course............3rd base coach starts screaming for a balk........only to be told that 3-1 move still legal in NFHS rules. he states "BS!  everyone knows that when there is a difference OBR rules trump NFHS rules!"..........

Not ....

My favorite game mgmt technique for such a statement is giving my best quizzical "Are you stupid or just dumb?" look for a few seconds, then bemusedly turning away. Extra points for nearly inaudible but well-timed chuckling.
