Retrofitted West Vest Platinum

This 12" West Vest Platnium is one year old. More importantly it is retrofitted with Team Wendy. I bought the chest protector in December last year and had it retrofitted in January (one of the last runs they did). I wore it for about 50 games this year. Also, I have removed a throat pad on the chest protector. 400$ shipped.

While I can appreciate your sarcasm. it's what I think it's worth. Prices are almost always negotiable on this site and this is no exception.

I could say the same thing about everyone of you who paid over $100 for a Nike titanium or a Riddell. My Champro mag is lighter than a Nike, and my Platinum and AS Sys7 protect better than my Riddell.

You guys are forgetting the "cool factor", and the price that goes along with getting something that's not available any longer.

And the price is what two folks on eBay are willing to fight over. I'd bet he'll get close to that price, if marketed properly. This is now one of the holy grails of umpire gear.

But a word to the wise. I recall when the +POS plastic masks commanded over $200. Now, you can't give those things away, as technology as caught up with this. But for now, a TW retro will command for several reasons. A. They work. B. You can't get them anymore. C. And lastly, they're cool (for now).

It wasn't long ago that a Nike commanded five bills, Now, that price has been cut in half. The same will happen with the TW, as some point. But not quite yet.
