It was only the 2nd batter of the game. Im surprised they needed to go to replay. I would have expected some of the umpires on the crew to know the count.

He might have actually had ball four on that pitch, but when the batter stays at the plate he then might have thought that he missed the count somehow.

I had a 1BC last night rocking the indicator. I didn't say anything as it was kiddie ball. Maybe he needed it to know when to tell his players to run. Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk

I coach a youth team and I will sometimes carry an indicator with me.  When you're focusing on other things, you lose the count occasionally and there's no reason I should have to ask the plate umpire for it.
