Disclaimer:  I'm watching Kellogg work MLB games and I don't work MLB games.

I think maybe he over-rotated a bit.  I'm not so sure he was able to see the tag as he was looking at R3's back as he slid.  Maybe a bit more on 3BLX to get a better view of the tag??

I was thinking the same Jeff.  Maybe if he'd stayed 3blx, he'd have a perfect view. (Again, not that I'm doing MLB games :)).   Also, ... Kellogg indicates where the tag happened, so he must have heard it.  Tulo doesn't argue, so he must have been tagged ...

Man, I really don't know how to read where the best place would be on a play like this.  So many things can happen to change where the best view of the tag might be.  It seems to me that Kellogg was in the EXACT best place to be - looking directly at the tag, though being able to see it in relation to the runner touching the plate makes it even more tricky.  It's an angle that no camera was able to reproduce.
