Compare "I enjoy cooking my family and friends" to "I enjoy cooking, my family and friends".

Amazing how one little comma can completely change the meaning of a sentence.

Who, or what, are you cooking? :fuel:

Exactly my point.  Without the comma, you are cooking your family and friends.  With the comma you enjoy three unrelated things; cooking, your family, and your friends.

Where did the second comma come from? I was just getting used to the incomplete sentence. Damn things keep multiplying...

I forgot my rotation with one partner and he being an older MUCH more experienced umpire looked at me standing at POP glaring after the close play at 3B while he calmly made a safe signal and then proceeded to chew my derriere after the game.  Haven't made that mistake since.

If your location hadn't said Tulsa, I would have sworn you were a third-year guy in my HS assc., lol
