baserunner running inside the 1st baseline and running into 1st baseman in cws

In the miss state and ucla game 1 of the cws, a ucla batter either bunted or hit a weak ball in front of the plate.  the catcher fielded the ball and threw it to 1st.  the batter/runner never crossed the right field line into the runner's lane and ran into the 1st baseman..  in my opinion, he should have been out for interference.  nothing was called and no coach questioned the call.  did anyelse see this?

"Quality throw" is not a good term. We need to determine whether there is Int or not. Period. If F2 just makes a throw that F3 has no chance of catching then obviously there was no int.

Because it wasn't a quality throw. You seem to be trying to define it backwards. Yes!!! That is what they taught us at the Wendelstad Clinic last week!!! He said they do not use quality throw at the 5 week school
