Base Shoes LCS ??

Hey all ...

I'm seeing a different Reebok shoe on the bases with the LCS umps. It's different than the Field Magistrate shoe, but still a Reebok.......anyone??

p.s. ...it seems to have more white in the platform area just above the sole toward the back, heel area.

Could it be the High and Tight, or the Hex Ride?

Nope and nope.

Its called the Premier Road IV. Nobody has them (umpire retailer or otherwise). Maybe Jim Kirk can ask Reebok about them. A TON of MLB guys are wearing these shoes.

Premier Road IV. . . man, that is a lot of WHITE. Reebok is really obnoxious with their logo. Might as well wear these puppies (complete with your name on the side!):

I agree that there is a lot of white, but maybe they'll tone it down with a future model like they did the magistrates.

Judging from those four pictures, those shoes get a lot of complaints.

I'll stick with the mid top Magistrates.

p.s. yeah, they're pretty fugly. Just because the MLB guys wear them, don't magically make them cool, kids.

Very true Kyle and that wasn't the reason for my post ...it was because I didnt' recognize them and didn't know what they were ....

Today I noticed these shoes on the sidelines of quite a few NFL games as well. The officials were not wearing them, but some coaches & assistants had them on too. I believe they are technically running shoes.

All, ...

After a converstation with someone from Reebok, ...this appears to be a new version of an older shoe. The Pro Road Plus II (not Premier Road).

A customer service rep at Reebok pulled up his thread, and saw the pictures, ...compared it to what info she had, and she told me it from the Pro Road series, and specialy outlets (ump-attire, etc) would / could know about what's coming.

She also assumed that it's a shoe they're trying out with people before they bring them to public.

That's all I have for now :D

Another person from Reebok just informed me (kind of) that the MLB guys are 'test running' a new shoe ....so , this is probably what we're seeing....info should be out end of year time-frame, ...was her assumption....

I was in Detroit Saturday night at a restaurant that's next to the hotel where the Chicago Bears were staying, and while waiting for the valet to pull my Bentley around, ...I saw this guy from the Detroit Lions standing there (had a big coat on, looked like a greeter) ...well, he had these "Premiers" on, so I asked him what they were, and he confirmed.

Well, if these are the shoes some of the MLB guys are wearing, ...they're primarily mesh ...so ...not the best for what we're looking for. That said, ...there might be different versions, etc....

Further update:

It sounds like the Reebok guy that Jim Kirk speaks with told them that this was a test shoe they gave to the MLB guys. There is no new info as of this date ..(that I'm aware of)
