Anybody else have issues with FM4000 pads. Last two games I have had, the pads seem to almost rub my chin raw in a couple of spots. Happened bad last week when it was 90 degrees here in NC. Last night it wasn't as bad, nice and cool around 65 degrees during last game. Also has anyone put team wendy pads on FM4000, if so how do they fell compared to Allstar pads

Negative. I wore an FM2000ump all last season w/ zero issues..... (same pads)

I have put the Team Wendays pads on my FM4000. They feel much better than the stock FM4000 pads.

Did you split the center velcro strip? :)

You'll have to cut the center velcro strap on the TW pads to fit the 4000's center lower cage bar

I haven't had any problem with my FM4000 pads either.

+1 for me too. I also wore the FM2000 with the same pads all last summer with out problems. Did you wash them?

The Team Wendy's pads will fit just fine.

There's a bar running down the lower center of the mask in your picture (unlike other masks). To get non-All Star pads to fit, you will need to cut the center chin pad strap length-wise to straddle that bar (also seen in your picture).

To make All Star pads fit you also have to cut the center strap too. It isn't a big deal.

The center bar is actually an intersesting design feature. It is located in such a way that it is not visable when you are wearing the mask.

First game last night with Team Wendy pads on fm4000 mask. I have to say I like the team Wendy pads alot better than all star pads that came with mask. Team Wendy pads felt better.

I have the titanium w/ the black wendys and for me, I think it's the sweetest looking mask I've ever had.

Invest in a throat guard too...took my first shot off of there last Wed night. Might not be here today w/o that throat protector.

Did you go with the black or tan? I have been trying to decide which would look better on that mask.

I wear a diamond ix3 silver mask for all games at any level of HS or above , and have been using the team wendy pads since the HS season started . i had no shots to the mask so i wasnt sure how the team wendy pads would perform . well today i got to see how , i worked a men's wood bat league gm , mostly D-2 , D-3 former players with some current players mixed on both teams . i took a point blank shot in the high 80's , from a foul off the bat , and felt very little impact to my face/head !! team wendy pads , very impressive for sure . the pads are very comfortable , on the face .

Lol. Good stuff admins.

Anyways, I purchased the 4000 as a backup mask but ended up loving the protection and lightness of it so much that its the only mask I've worn through Varsity and Community College ball this season. Have taken one dead-on hit and the mask (with original pads) took it like an All Star :)

I have the TW pads on a Wilson mask but will definitely vouch for these pads as well.
