Pitch f/x on the UEFL had it as a strike. Did they change that?

No, they have it as a strike according to the Kulpa rule, ...i.e; "close enough" statistically ;)

When it comes to announcers, isn't it rather obvious which side their bread is buttered $$$$$$$$ on?

Would you want to be an announcer, knowing you had to say things like that and say them in the exact same way to keep your job? Kind of nice being an umpire, isn't it.

DD,

Honest question here. Do you think the announcers do it intentionally for their bosses, or do you think they are uninformed? I've always thought they have don it out of lack of knowledge. Half are former players who honestly don't have a clue and/or are jaded and the other half are professional announcers who have spent their entire career with the former players who do constantly bash umpires/ butcher rules that they absorb that negative energy and thoughts and express those too.

I don't think they do it to please the boss. McDouche has said many things later to correct himself b/c someone clued him in. They speak before they get the proper info and either move on or correct themselves later. Most seem to move on or never get informed.

All I want is for them to go off on the players (both their own and the visitors) who make errors the same way they go off on umpires who make errors. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.' I am talking about the TV games with the home team announcers, not some call in show on the radio the next day. I am talking about local and national TV home team announcers or former players on the national network maybe without a team but blasting on the umpires anyway.

However, I do not hear the same inflection of invective inferences of utter contempt and despise and venom for their home team players or players in general who make an unacceptable error as when an umpire makes an unacceptable error. When former players like Mcwhatshisname and announcers spew out that same venom and blasting on the players as they do on the umpires, then I will take back my former post and accusation of which side their bread is $$$$$$$ buttered on.

I'm waiting for those being lambasted by their home team announcers. Not just a little blurb. The same scathing blasting they give umpires.

I'm waiting.

Where are they.

Let's hear them all.

Post em

I'm waiting.

Not that I agree, but the history of the game involves ripping the umpires. Even as an umpire, it is part of the game and I'm glad that it is still part of the game. Even umpires like telling ejection stories. Some coaches will always be goons, some players will always be goons, announcers/fans will always know the least about the finer points of the game. That's baseball and I love it that way.
