Thunder...he said CAN'T tuck it in theTherma-base...the Cool-base windbreaker type jacket CAN be tucked in...

he must have changed that! I swear it said CAN?!? Honest! ;)

I have worn both behind the dish. If it's so cold that I'm peeing ice cubes, then I wear a jacket, tucked of course. I do like the look of the l/s shirt though. If I layer just right, I will be comfortable behind the plate. I think it's to each his own and also whatever is the accepted "custom" in his area.

x610.jpgYou actually can tuck it. Ive done mine like this on truly crappy days when I don't way my plate cost mucked up. It actually works well.

Okay, I guess it is possible, but I wouldn't try it.

The Therma Base is very thick and is not designed to be tucked. The Cool Base is very thin and tuckable, so it can be a plate alternative in the rain.

No, you can't.

Look at Fittske's pic Kev, ...DS is tucking!! :)

Anyhow, ...I MUST agree on the Cool Base ...GREAT to rock this on the dish on a 65+ degree game in a fairly stiff breeze even ...it's more versatile than you think!

I wore the Thermabase all last spring and tucked it in every time I wore it. I only wore it on the plate a time or two though. Long sleeve shirt is the norm.

I just don't want anybody to call me another tucker.

I think you have a hearing problem. It's not "tucker" they're calling you.

Got one. Would have worn it tonight if we were wearing navy. My current chapter almost always wear pro blue or black. Really cut back on the amount of colors I needed to travel with. The past three years my old chapter defaulted to navy and wore almost any color. I am enjoying the simplicity.

We don't wear navy much anymore, but I have a navy long-sleeve with a high school assn. patch ready for when it's cold and my partner only has a navy jacket. I haven't had to wear it since 2009.

I don't mind at all rocking the black pull over jacket at the plate. When you do it needs to be tucked. Honigs makes a jacket with a straight bottom made to tuck in. The black looks good at the plate tucked in, I don't care for the blue jacket in that same situation.

I said it before and I'll say it again...

There is nothing wrong with wearing a jacket on the plate. Just tuck it in. I've already done it twice this year.

I live in Missouri and know how the weather can be. Today I'm dealing with temps in the upper 40s and strong wind gusts. I'll probably wear my plate jacket again.

It's the old adage...if you can stand on your head and get pitches right, then stand on your head.

JUST GET THE CALLS RIGHT!!!!!!!

I hate to be cold and I'm going to dress accordingly to stay warm, if that means jacket at the plate, then so be it. Key is to look good in what you roll out there in, make it look clean and professional and consistent with your partner.
