  1. Fechheimer products were manufactured in the Dominican Republic. However, we no longer work with other brands for their manufacturing resource and do not have any ongoing relationship with Fechheimer.
  2. @The Man in Blue quick photo to try and most accurately show the color. As with all lighting conditions, they will appear lighter sun light. Lighting in photo was not ideal, lower portion is much darker which is not accurate, look at middle up. Our pant color is lighter than Smitty though, always has been so this doesn't match the "NCAA" shade.
  3. We don't carry them so I have no idea on when those are made available or released to retailers but just wanted to pass on that it looks like it is still being made available to those who wish to carry it.
  4. Based on a recent memo I received from Wilson, it doesn't look like this is discontinued. Just looks like a specialty product with limited releases along with a few other styles. "Standard dyna-lite steel frame/mask in pink, and the pads would be leather inner and pink PU leather outer"
  5. This would be the cheapest and easiest option as everyone else said. Find some pink polyester mesh, take off the old cover, and sew.
  6. Yes, it is. The wider belt loop is used for a few reasons. It provides extra support to the waistband, it mitigates your belt from shifting, is more durable and was a also aesthetics choice. The current branding embellishment will get an upgrade, be more blended and be placed on the belt loop. That also serves some practical functionality but I believe was largely a design choice. You either love it or hate it.
  7. Yes, we expect those within the next few weeks as well.
  8. Should be available early next week if not over the weekend although it will be lacking in all photos for a bit!
  9. It's not worth the price, well for companies who manufacture exclusively for umpires. Simply testing for those standards and actually doing the certification/paying licensing fees have wildly different costs associated with them.
  10. From my perspective, it doesn’t really matter. People will wear what they like, and those who cling to tradition can stick with it. We’ll keep offering classic styles while also daring to push boundaries within reason. As Neil Peart wrote, “I will choose a path that’s clear, I will choose free will.” So, hopefully, everyone will make the choice that makes a difference to them.
  11. Not on a timeline I see but I put in the request!
  12. BFX Pro Flat Front Base Cut I apologize, the photography on this isn't great due to the turnaround time and will be re shot at some point. The flat fronts do have permanent creases that were smoothed over/toned down in post processing. You can see below trying to squeeze into a size too small.
  13. @GoAn42 The BFX Pro is starting to roll in. We currently have flat front base fit available but still waiting on photography unfortunately. Being told early next week on the photos.
  14. Scam scam scam. See that extra "s" in the url? Here is the real Stripes Plus
  15. Thank you. The basic product is very similar to the MLB coats. 100% Polyester, heavier weight, high denier fabric but the consumer will have a choice when it comes to the lining color (within a range of options), embellishments and possibly some pocket design options. Sizing will be standardized but the option to provide custom measurements from your tailor will be offered so it would be 100% made to spec. Of course Max had to jump in and provide logical recommendations so now we're looking at multiple fabric options to accommodate the warmer climates. I know that a barrier to purchasing something so expensive is getting your hands on it so we'll probably have a sample program. Pay a deposit, get a sample in your hands and return it for a full refund minus the shipping. The shipping costs will turn into a store credit. Still figuring that out but it seemed like a fair offering.
  16. Since we've manufactured with Fech in the past, my guess is it is simply more because you're two steps away from the factory v. one. While they're manufacturing quality is generally very good, that is my assumption. I know a few folks with OWO that do like theirs. We aren't rolling ours out until later this year but it will be in the $300-$450 range depending on options as each one will be made to order.
  17. Ump Attire carries the 2024 MLB ruleset here: https://www.ump-attire.com/Products/MLB-OBR/2024-Official-Major-League-Baseball-MLB-Rulebook Gerry Davis Sports does not carry any of the physical manuals.
  18. Any preferences on interior pockets in the pockets? This is totally 100% precautionary.
  19. They've been running significant promotions since October 2023. I have a feeling that they're making a shift in their channel distribution from retail partners to direct-to-consumer and third-party channels such as Amazon in this case. Just my conspiracy theory.
  20. @The Man in Blue Yes, the Davis BFX 14" Umpire Crop Top. In all seriousness, I really dislike the look of the CP under the coat as well without something over it but we're focusing on the actual coat aspect first.
  21. I think anything under a 38 waistband (40 true waist) they're fine if you like them slimmer, less baggage. It really comes down to personal preference and style.
  22. As a retailer representative, I do not approve of your cost saving methods. 😂
  23. Not sure where he found those 30 year old Gerry Davis steel toed plate shoes.
  24. @Jackrabbitslims I would prefer the Core Lightweight pants personally in the highest heat scenario. Although both pants have a similar fabric weight, the BFX is woven in a way that makes it feel a little heavier, more durable and gives it more texture. We’ve been prototyping a pant specifically designed for extremely hot and humid environments. I wore it recently in Thailand, and it performed well in temperatures over 100 degrees. However, it challenges the traditional look of umpire pants, resembling more of a technical pant than a uniform pant. I can’t share much more since it’s still an R&D project, but apparel designed for high heat and humid environments is definitely an are of emphasis for us right now. I have a few dozen pairs of pants that we never produced for retail due to various reasons, such as a cut that doesn’t suit everyone and concerns about durability. However, they are extremely lightweight. These pants are slim-cut, made from a very lightweight fabric, and have a fitted waistband. If anyone is interested in helping clear some warehouse space, you can get them for the low low price of $0.00—just cover the shipping costs. If you’re interested, please PM me, and I’ll check if your size is available. Keep in mind that these pants are best suited for thin and athletic frames.
  25. Yes, they are much more expensive than other pants on the market but I still think people will find them to be a good value. In terms of gross margin, this product actually has the lowest margin in our pant line. There are three primary factors contributing to its higher cost: Raw Materials: The fabric used is significantly more expensive due to the specialized yarn and the difficulty in maintaining color consistency between lots, unlike standard polyester fabric. This means larger lots and holding the raw fabric for a longer period of time. Labor: These pants are produced on a very small production line that typically handles prototyping and samples. This slower process is performed by more skilled workers, resulting in fewer defects. Although our overall defect rate is very low, we wanted to ensure these pants meet our highest standards. Shipping: Despite the high cost, it is actually more economical to air freight these pants rather than ship them by sea. While air freight is still expensive, sea freight would subject the pants to a 28.2% tariff, making it more costly than air shipping.
