AH YES now that I peeked around at enlarged other photos I do see in his inner collar he has blue there and yeah the sunglasses retainer yep. Still to me the grey to go with the pants look would be better imho
-
See to me I would have gone with the grey instead as there was no blue on the shirts.. just my 2 cents
-
Sigh placed an order of 2. Sticking with grey to accessorize match the pants. non of that blue for me. Maybe MAAAAAYYYBE I will develop a pink kit later but I am doing my damndest not to.

Note it under the Maven said so section of the book. I for one am honestly good with that. 😇

I had just come to the conclusion that I no longer needed to spend money on equipment, with the exception of replacing something broken.. Damn you UmpLife.. Sigh take my $$

New pitcher in middle of inning-Coach in batters box?
ArchAngel72 replied to Shane T's question in Ask the Umpire
Would it be bad to stand there and say "Cup Check" loud enough for the pitcher to hear you? -
LL and yes Bristol but know this was 2 plus years ago I think. Its been at least over a year since I went and well things do change.

I have been told here to use "That was nothing" for stuff like R1 running behind F4 and F4 Buckner's the ball and it hits R1. At the time my PU called time and put R1 out at which we got together and spoke about it. Then moved R1 to 2nd and allowed BR to stay at 1st ( there was no play on him and he would have been clearly safe ) I asked here about it and was advised I should have "That was nothing and made a safe signal" I asked about this mechanic in Bristol as no one had ever told us there about it. They poo poo'd it and stated make a safe signal and leave it at that. Let the play go its course. I asked specifically about "That was nothing" and was told NO.. shouldn't be using that. I like the verbiage myself. But I will do what they say going fwd.

Preparatory to Set Position in Pitching (Rule 5.07 a2)
ArchAngel72 replied to Murphy25's question in Ask the Umpire
I get that but maybe they are going by what someone stated the league uses. Most lower levels to my knowledge use OBR as a base and then they tweak things to what they want for lower age groups. Some of them More heavy handed than others.. -
Preparatory to Set Position in Pitching (Rule 5.07 a2)

Staples Button " Well that was easy"

"Yeah sorry to hear about your case of elephantiasis. I hope they figure out the cure before it kills you"

My point and x 2 on what you stated Wolfe

I love all these "local league rules" I simply ask them if they got permission from the district to make that change as local leagues cannot make local rules (with few in book exceptions) without running it all the way to the regional office minimum. If the district DA does not know about it Sorry we play by the book as its written. You got a problem with that call another patched umpire. But I will warn them they will probably get the same thing.

To those thinking reputation matters. Twist that around and put it back on yourself. None of us are perfect, I will repeat that. NONE OF US ARE PERFECT. We all have bad games. We all have incredible games. We all strive to make better and when we have a moment in a game to understand it and move on from it. You all know when you kick a call on a strike or a ball. I for one NEVER EVER do a make up call.. The screw up was me not the pitcher or catcher or batter so why shift that to make things "Proper" when that would end up just be you making another "bad call" Anyway. My point is I believe We do not want any bad reputation going from one game into the next. I do my best to try to push that on the coaches also. I know deep down we all know going from game to game who is probably good to try whatever or do or say whatever. But to me this is the next game not the last. When the ball got thrown to the pitcher to start the next game whatever happened before is a memory not whats happening now. I do my best to treat it like that. No issues with anyone. Sure Im not at MLB level where there are 162 games I might have to call and get the same coach for 40 of them? I dunno Im guessing.. So yeah I wont run into that amount of working with a coach. Anyway I hope I have defended my point so you see it..

So here it is while it will work I would think you may want something more substantial on the part that it hangs over the shoulder and back . the little piece from the cobalt does not provide total coverage their and to me that would probably be a pressure point. The chest area I think would provide adequate cushioning and separation from the person underneath it.
-
So my dumb ass just came up with this too. Ill go back out there and take half off the cobalt and lay it on the s7 to see what it looks like. Why did I not think that until now? UGH
-
Well let me just say this between the two. If I got a 12 U pitcher who's throwing with horrible control and a 10u catcher who its his 1st time catching yeah im running the s7 as the protection is that of a tank. But the cobalt has done me well I cant recall taking any shots to it that I did not shrug off. The padding on the s7 is much much more of a slimming profile also. to note the cobalt is way cooler that s7 seems to hang onto heat like it was built for it. If you do a lot of 80 degree plus days you wont want that S7 my 2 cents but I am a little heat sensitive
-
after staring at these a bit more, I would suggest buying the largest size pads for the cobolt to slide into the S7
-
I have both the S7 and the cobalt so I could lay them out side by each to get a good look at what the overlay may look like. I do know the S7 is a tank of a protector. This wont be until later tonight as my.. scratching my head.. Well no my S7 is in my bag in the truck. Sigh next smoke break I'll see if I can muster up a decent photo of the two. Ok the pads are thinner as you can see the shape looks very compatible, with the shoulder cups being a maybe not on that area as the S7 ones are REALLY thick.
-
Yeah but as we age Max there is less and less of a desire to do stuff myself and just pay some young buck to do it for me.
-
If you are at all slightly handy I would suggest "the way of the wolf" If not offer to trade it to him for something else wait 2 months he will retrofit it himself then ask him to trade back. 😄

Sorry for your loss. Condolences to you and your family on that, I for one cannot begin to imagine going through that. Congrats on the new future.
