Maybe I’m a little bit crazy, but aren’t we all a little bit “crazy” when we decide to umpire? I have a Nike (used for about 3 games) with black TW pads, with black tape), MLB harness. Yes, I agree. The price is a bit extreme, even when compared with Honig’s Polywools which tends to be a more expensive material. They look cool, but I think Gerry went a little over his head with the price. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a special offer soon...if they don’t sell as intended.
