I really appreciate it. @udbrky

Here is a situation that I know you all will be able to help me with: 1 out runner on second. Batter hits a ball towards first base foul territory, ball is caught. Runner from second takes off without tagging, wild throw towards the SS covering 2B. Runner goes back, slides, base flies a few feet; runner is safe. There's this player on the defense who had already expressed discontent on a bang-bang play; he argues on this one as well. Question is, should I have ejected him. This is triple-AAA little league, about 9-11 years old.

Man that flag really adds a nice touch to it.

Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.

Here's the situation, that hopefully will be cleared up by you all: Runners on 1st and 2nd with two outs. Batter hits the ball to left-center, runner at 2nd rounds third and heads for the plate. The runner at 1st did not realize the ball was not caught, stays at 1st and then runs off towards 2nd. Throw is made to the shortstop and force out is recorded at second. Now, in this division of little league there is a five run limit per inning before the 6th. That runner at 2nd is the potential fifth run. The inning ended due to the fifth run "scoring" and not because of the out, but the shortstop asked me if the run scored. Now the question is: Do I go to the HP and confer with him the scoring of the run or is that up to the coach to appeal it. Thanks and sorry for the wordy description everyone.

Thank you. I really appreciate it. I'll keep soaking all these experiences from you all.

I started umpiring at 13, and have been doing it since.

I don't really know. I was just told the bitter truth.

They claim (UIC) that the parents will try to get on you when they see a teenager (16) go behind the plate.

I really appreciate it. All of you guys.

I don't even know what to think about it.

Well, I was supposed to have an assignment over the weekend but they told me when I got to the field I was notified that I had to be 18 to ump the plate, kind of killed my excitement but I love umpiring and hopefully I'll get to do the plate before I turn 18.

Thank you all for the helpful tips and advice. First game is Saturday. I'll try to let you know how it all went. Thanks once again. Also, what do you guys do in a 1 umpire system when there's a runner stealing second?
-
Never heard that one before. That's a good one. And thank you all for the advice.
-
Also, if you guys have any gear that you are willing to part with, and not that exclusive and expensive, please let me know!

Gals and guys, I hope you all are doing well. This is going to be my first season umpiring behind the plate and I was hoping you all could give me some tips. I can't help but feel butterflies in my stomach at the thought of getting back there, but I've loved it since I was young. Thank you all.

Seller had it at 99 I threw 80 just to see if I could get it, counteroffer was 85 by seller, I accepted.
-
Thank you all, but I guess the mask just wasn't meant to be. Seller backed out after final offer was accepted. But thank you anyways guys.

Thanks for all the help guys. Like I said greatly appreciated.

@MadMax I would like to leave its natural silvery steely color. Thank you all guys. Really appreciate it.

One more question guys, do scratches wear off with sandblasting/powder coating? Because this one seems like it has some ( quite a few) scratches.
-
Thank you @MadMax for the detailed description. This is the mask I'm getting and hope to remove its coating. Seller claimed it to be aluminum, but I've never heard of a Nike aluminum.
