  1. Reminds me of a McClelland ejection...manager said the team's morale was suffering and walked out to Tim and said "I know you got that call right but my team isn't playing very well. Can we just stand out here and argue a little bit? I am just going to stand here and bob my head and raise my hands a little bit, but I am not mad at you. I just want to put on a little bit of a show. When I'm done you run me and I'll go to the dugout." Tim says "That's fine, whatever you need to do, go ahead and do it." And Tim asked him about a restaurant and if he'd ever been there. Manager said no, and started kicking the dirt and said "but maybe I should try it out sometime! Well, I think this was enough, why don't you run me now."
  2. Leave it to Danny Lasagna to get the season rolling.
  3. Yeah, maven. You go. Even though I have no idea where you would kayak in the Midwest. Every year I go to a survival camp and we have an overnight kayaking trip. Best part of my summer. Upper Gauley is not bad. (This is not me.)
  4. Okay but why do so many MLB umpires suddenly have Instagram accounts???

  5. Yeah, maven. You go. Even though I have no idea where you would kayak in the Midwest. Every year I go to a survival camp and we have an overnight kayaking trip. Best part of my summer.
  6. Guys there's a reason I never chime in on these threads. I'm HUGE for a teenage girl. And square. Like a linebacker. I just wear the L/XL dudes clothing and I'm good. HOWEVER. I do know the ASA catalogue/site has pants cut specifically for women in navy, charcoal, and heather. Give them a try, I know the two other female umpires here in town who wear that stuff say it's decent. Here try this. http://m.teamusa.org/USA-Softball/Shop/Official-Gear
  7. Well, that and the fact that reality has a liberal bias.Tell that to the 100 million+ Russians, Jews, Chinese, Rawadans, Armenians, etc. in the last 100 years whose reality was abruptly interrupted. That should just about wrap this thread up..... Edited to add... Rulekeep is probably scratching her head, thinking "what the heck is he talking about?"We have schools in Alaska, you know...with history classes...crazy thought... Another thing... Push the vessel slowly into the water, and wade out to meet it. Have your partner hold the bow steady as you seat yourself in the cockpit. Push one end of the paddle into the ground for stabilization, environment permitting, and slide your legs into the cockpit one at a time. Fasten your skirt over the cockpit. Common knowledge for me. Won't expect more than a handful of the guys here to have any clue what that's about. Taking a jab at what could be common and easily remedied ignorance is petty, even if it failed. Also it makes me laugh that you had to put "Edited to add this crack about Rulekeep." SMH some of y'all try so hard.
  8. There's an inch and a half of snow on the ground.
  9. Well, my paid free time has changed since I last posted here. Newly trained lifeguard at the smaller of the two pools in town. Also the cadet web director and unofficial maker of recruiting materials for the local CAP squadron. EDIT: THE POOL FIRED ME. I'M WORKING AT MACCAS NOW.
  10. If you're into preening self-congratulatory smugness, then he's incredibly entertaining. Jon Stewart and Bill Maher, too. I dunno about those crazy Missouri republicans, but at least I don't have to come across their nonsense when I'm channel surfing.Hmmmm. Commentators like Colbert, Stewart, and Oliver have shaped my opinions about our bass ackwards politics and screwed up world...darn, maybe that's why I'm so freakin' libertarian. I find them massively entertaining and informative as well. To each his own but you're missing a lot of good stuff...And herein lies the problem.....Number one, they're NOT COMMENTATORS. They are COMEDIANS. Teen's political opinions being shaped by comedians and their bias views. After all, who's more credible, neutral, informed, and non bias than a liberal comedian? They aren't comedians. They actually run actual shows with actual news presented. Colbert is the closest to being a comedian. And hey, I watch Cooper too. I research a lot about bills myself and take a Law class. My father is a broadcast journalis who focuses on military and justice. I try my best to educate myself about stuff going on in the nation because my school doesn't even though that's where I'm supposedly being educated. Social side of Tumblr helps too. Soon all the hippie liberals will be running your country, ooooOOOWOOOOoooo.

  12. I have a powerlifting competition on May 2nd in Anchorage...running didn't work out (ha get it) for me so I went to developing my fast twitch muscles instead. My events are raw bench, raw squat, and raw deadlift. There's never been a raw female teenage lifter in the state to set records in my class, meaning nobody competes in my class, so I'm hoping to set records and walk out of South Anchorage High School with a medal.
  13. Ja, I'm on the rival site (Tumblr) and it's devolved my sense of humor to the point that I laugh at people saying "Sour cream" in the right tone.
  14. C'mon guys...it's funnier than some of the crap this site turns out. Although to be honest I was incredibly sleep deprived last night and everything was funny, but this is still amusing. For those of you that don't get it, the first person was supposed to ask if unicorns killed those with unpure hearts and typed umpire by accident/autocorrect. SMH why do I even try. :rollinglaugh: :rollinglaugh: :rollinglaugh:OH WHAT NOW YOU GET IT? Have you ever done standup improv? The second rule of improv: "If you say it, and nobody laughs, that makes one person in the room that thought it was funny, and one person is all you need."

For those of you that don't get it, the first person was supposed to ask if unicorns killed those with unpure hearts and typed umpire by accident/autocorrect. The hashtag is from an incredibly popular company that makes stuff like pictures of skinny white girls with overlaying text that says junk like "when he gives you his hoodie, #justgirlythings" SMH why do I even try. :shakehead:
  17. MY FRIEND SENT THIS TO ME LIKE TEN MINUTES AGO AND I HAD TO SHOW IT TO YOU GUYS. The more I laugh the funnier it gets help
  18. I just joined Chad Bentz's baseball team and he's announced he's taking us to Phoenix over spring break. Guys in the area, watch for the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears on your schedule. (And then run very far away.) People are already laughing at the image of a pitcher screaming "YOU CAN'T DO THAT, BLUE!" and me yelling from the back of the dugout "YES HE CAN, SHADDUP!" Now you get to see firsthand the awful things I tell about Alaskan baseball. See y'all in a bit. I gotta actually focus on school now, then playing. (Which means not focusing on umpiring.)
  19. Hot Head Dreckman is back...oh, what fun.
  20. When does a pitch begin? When the windup starts.
  21. I was making things up? I'm still waiting for @JaxRolo reaction. Not pressing the like bottom on other peoples comments. I want your comment on how I was making things up. He was kidding. Relax. Are you kidding? HIM? RELAX?!
  22. @Mad Max, once you get down that far, -25 is a BIG difference from -30. HA. Here I am bitching about the cold and one of my prospective colleges is in FAIRBANKS. Stay away from Fairbanks, my friends. Beautiful town. Do not go there between October and March.
  23. At least your wind chill wasn't hitting -30. My brother brought the winter with him to Georgia and then he moved back up here and we've been getting snow, rain, and wind. But then again, that's not much different from the start of the season in March, anyways.
  24. I dunno, I would have the obvious choice would be to kill it. If a player doesn't see it and steps on it, they could get pretty badly hurt.
