  3. The only part of the Super Bowl that was entertaining to me was the sharks during the halftime show. I did think the Hawks would have it at the one yard line until the penalty. MUCH better than last year, no?
  4. That Pete Rose shoe commercial was beautiful. Pure genius. I want to shake the hand of the person who thought of that. I'm still laughing.

Wouldn't Jocko just re-assume his throne? So you are calling Jocko a nobody? Jocko was already the Resident SA. If he came back, that means nobody could claim the title.

  10. After consulting a recently retired MCPO, I believe someone is giving you wrong information about deployments. I know they used to have journalists and photographers in the Navy when I was in. Not sure about now. http://www.navy.mil/navydata/cno/n87/faq.html Question ten. They have "mass communication specialists" I will probably not enlist in the Navy. Better chance of succeeding in the Mar http://wtkr.com/2015/01/21/navy-to-immediately-open-submarine-service-to-enlisted-female-sailors/ http://archive.navytimes.com/article/20120618/NEWS/206180310/Women-say-they-re-fitting-submarines I'm not going into the Navy. Please stop pushing the topic. You aren't the only one. Not trying to get you to enlist in the Navy. That's a very personal position of an individual. It would actually be pretty cool if you were to update us from time to time how you are doing. I don't know of a person on here who doesn't enjoy your writing. You posted about a youtube video. What is the page, since I don't believe I have seen them yet? https://www.youtube.com/user/TheLewisMorrisBand

  13. Women are authorized for submarine missions shorter than a week. And I don't want to be a submariner anyways, I want to be a public affairs specialist.
  14. Actually looks pretty B.A. I might even have considered wearing that.
  15. I thought about it. Still thinking about it. But I have a personal reason to prefer the USMC.
  16. I just locked my YouTube channel. Don't worry-you can still see those works of umpiring-video genius. So, I figure I'd break down the stats and show you guys what you helped me accomplish. Total views: 38,883 Total likes: 119 Total comments: 37 Total dislikes: 7 Final number of productions: 10 Most popular production: Ejection Party with 101 likes, 35,184 views, 34 comments, and six dislikes. Second most popular production: My Hero with two likes, 1,089 views, and one dislike. As you can see, that is a big gap. On average my videos have between two and three hundred views. My last big project, Ejection Party, was a video made by the demand of my audience. My audience did not fail to show their approval. So, while you can still see those videos through YouTube, no more will be made. I am looking to take the skills I learned making those videos and putting them together in a bigger way. I am probably going to sideline umpiring for a long time starting my senior year. I've started applying for pre-req classes for a film degree from the University of Alaska: Fairbanks but in all likelihood I will be enlisting in the Marine Corps in May 2019 and striving to become a public affairs specialist, where I will be able to use my skills as a filmmaker AND a writer. After a three year enlistment, I may go to the Savannah College of Art and Design for film or TV production. Or I might go to umpiring school. It all depends on the next few upcoming years, which will prove to be the most important in creating my life outside of Alaska. As some of you know, my fifteenth birthday is in eight days. U-E, you've known me since I was a snot-nosed, barely-thirteen-year-old little asshole with a chip in my shoulder and a hate for authority, always ready for a fight, not afraid to pick them, and just not caring what people thought. Almost all of you have pressured me many ways, both good and bad, such as basically only the one guy who was always bitching about how I hated the idea of college, or the several who think I can succeed in the military. There were those who stood up for me, those who treated me like a kid sister, those who mentored me, tutored me, and those who forgave me for being an arrogant, ignorant little SH*#head with no filter and no sense of empathy. There are those who think I'm actually funny, those that put up with the never ending teenagitis, and those who don't care what I do to mess up, they'll still help me out of whatever SH*#storm I create. Even those who hate me and think I have no place here-you left your mark and you'll never know if it was good or bad. I have 36 short months to make myself into something worth something to society. I fully intend to succeed. In the past two years, you guys have seen me grow up so much, and indeed, helped me get there, but I still have a far way to go. I would not have developed into the filmmaker or writer, or decision maker that I am and soon will be without the help, support, and "best one yet"'s from all of you guys. As the saying goes; every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end. And for that, U-E, I thank you, and dedicate Canadian Shield's success to you.
  17. That guy looks and sounds exactly like the assistant coach on my last wrestling team. I'm doped up on painkillers and cold medicine and I found this far funnier than I should have...the throat jabbing two people at once is where I lost it...also "Who cares? They're like ten!"
  18. It's weird how the more you look at a fairly common and unexpectedly appealing profession, the profession that you'd been working towards for several years just seems boring. It seems like instead of heading off to WUS as soon as I graduate, I may be heading to a MEPS...weird thoughts. Umpiring has been a huge part of my planned future since I even started thinking about it.

You're going to be good at whatever you choose to do. I just hope it's something that lets you use your imagination.

I think it's ironic that you guys love all my work. I got my transcript today...D- in video production and a D in English

  19. Ted Barrett is such a chill guy like wow nice
  20. Well, I see some good points on both sides of this interesting debate, but this argument, frankly, is pretty thin. For one, a bikini is customary and accepted attire at a beach or pool. You wouldn't be in trouble for dropping your pants if you had your trunks on either. But a bikini isn't underwear - it may resemble it, it may be even be MORE revealing than a panty. But it's not a panty. Try standing around at your community pool in your boxers or underwear. It probably won't end well. You're kidding me.... You're making the "appropriate for the environment" argument. been to Wal-Mart lately? Would somebody PLEASE (@MidamUmp) post a link to a court case that has found a sports official guilty of open and gross lewdness, indecent exposure, etc? I find it hard to believe that absent some serious malfeasance, no one would ever have to "register as a sex offender". This is the ONLY article I could find via Google (granted I looked for about 5 minutes) that addresses (get it?) the issue. http://www.oakpark.com/News/Articles/4-30-2013/Neighbors-cry-foul-over-OPRF-umpires%27-costume-change/ THAT is serious enough to write an article about???? MY GOD.
  21. LOL. I will. My mentality is that I want batters looking to hit not walk. Okay but don't take that so far that you aren't calling balls at all.
  22. I think most seemingly irrational decisions are probably based on something else.Sex?Cheeto Puffs, Barq's, and Netflix, ya doofus. Sounds like a night with a bag of...what?Uh...
  23. Because you're an adult. Yeah but the adult who's staring at the pre-teen girl doesn't get anything but a dirty look.

  25. I'll just take the possibly fatal injuries. My god, those things look tacky. And irritating to wear, too.
