my bad, i saw him tuck it under his arm and thought he went from his right hand to under his left arm.

Orange - BR Red - U1 Blue - PU Please be nice, I did this on my phone in hopes of better explaining.
-
say a ball hit to center field, BR rounds wide, F8 throws to F3 covering 1B. Instead of me having to move back in forth between 1st and 2nd, he could follow BR to 1st and be able to be right on top of the play. It seemed to make sense in theory, but I've never done it or seen a play come back to first to be bang bang.

......and takes his mask off with his right hand... after the ball goes well into right field then he is 1BLX

Would anyone agree that PU is in a horrible position to see anything possible RLI (whether it was there or not)?

Hey guys, Was talking to a guy the other day before a game and he mentions to me (i am BU) that on any base hit to the outfield he would come up and cover 1b, if the defense attempts to back door the BR. We never had any play happen at first, but I would notice him coming up the 1b line then move to foul territory about 15 ft from 1B. I could see how this would make sense, but I've never seen a play at first as a backdoor attempt. Thoughts?

@johnnyg08 would you recommend buying the PBUC Manual and/or 2-man mechanic manual, for someone trying to learn more than just the OBR.
-
I thought at first glace that he was in the stretch and didn't see a stop. then I realized how his body was positioned and was curious if that was his windup. but they also mentioned in the video that the whole game he was like that but, going to the stretch.

I was looking thru the gallery and noticed only some photos are available? Is that because of the owner has them set to private or is my computer just not receiving the imageS?
-
what do you think about the 'high move to the left' strike mechanic?
-
maybe. I could completely understand if U3 was in, but he is out and he could go out easily on fly balls from F7 to F9 and U2 and U3 have the fielder's going to their respective lines.
-
Why would it be necessary to have a LF and RF line umpire, if U3 is never in before the pitch? The fields are much smaller and I just don't see much of a point having 6 umpires? Be gentle.

@lawump do you know when your next game is?

I'll be there in september. I gotta call and get my hotel set up.

Seems like this is the correct answer to the rule. Doesn't have be be a ball 4 or hit batter. R3 touched home, BR touched first, that's all that needed to happen.

Anyone that had or own shirts from honigs, how do the sizes run? I normally have a lot of Dalco shirts and after 3 yrs I found out that the sizing is done with gear on. So my normal mediums that I got for the field should have been small and the large is much bigger with gear on than I expected. Input? Thanks!

Young kids, I'll tell them walk it up. Older, you should know better. I am not calling it unless he has to tie his shoes, clean dirt out of his uni, gets injured, etc. I was told that I shouldn't ever hold up while the batter gets in the box, but that was because my partner told me he can get out off a pick off, and me holding my hand out prevents that.

@conbo61 thanks!!

I called INT on R2 running towards 2nd throwing his hands up in the air, while F4 was turning to throw to F3. 1BC walks towards the dugout (3rd base side) and says great call blue (surprised me because it wasn't sarcastic). I've never was taught to ever slide to 2nd with your hands up. A big reason was to avoid having ours hands destroyed by the thrown ball.

So, I've been looking for some new field shoes, because the ones that I recently bought suck. I was looking and found NB 950s. Anyone have input/review that they would like to share or even other field shoes you use that are comfortable?
