Coach pitch interference

In 8u coach pitch..Bases loaded..Batter hit ball up the middle ..Fielder catches ball tries to make a play at home but when he throws the ball it hits the coach that was pitching.Whats the ruling..Thanks

The rules provide no explicit penalty for INT by a coach who is pitching.

I recommend suspending the game, taking the video to the league, and letting them handle the fines, suspensions, whippings, drawing/quartering, burning at the stake, beheading, and firing squad that are the usual consequences for this kind of infraction.

Please don't allow this travesty of the game to go unaddressed: these kids will not learn anything with role models like that.

@Senor Azul, what does the BRD have on this?

Now now.  You gotta remember that every single one of those 8U players is in line for a NCAA scholarship and is on their way to the big leagues.  And if they don't make it to the Show, it will be some umpire's fault.  The fielder lost an assist on that play, and that statistic may cause him to drop dozens of spots in the 2028 MLB draft.
