Ok, I'm just going to say it.  Count is 1-2 with two outs.  That is a uncaught third strike, but how can you tell from the mechanic.  My call time?  He thought the game was over?  Then Ron Washington talks him into a foul ball.  But by his mechanic he thought the catcher caught it (I guess), so many things went wrong here.

We all miss things.  But these mechanics would put me back onto the JV field. 

Am I wrong?

Boy, the teams in the Northeast, (Washington and Boston) are very critical on umpire strike zones the first 2 months.

Seems to me that the article was written by someone who writes about the Cardinals. Last I checked, St Louis was not in the northeast, unless you consider its relative position to Phoenix or San Diego.

vivalebirdos.com     Yeah, probably a Cards fanatic.      And note the article subhead:  For both teams, but especially in critical situations for the Cardinals.

It's a Cardinals blog. Cards writers are very insulated and anti-everyone else. I think of the scene in Tommy Boy where the car full of guys are chanting "O'Doyle Rules!"

 

Every team has it's fair share. I like to read the blogs that acknowledge a world outside their own.

 

Viva is actually one of the good ones that will acknowledge another player/team is good once in a while.
