new balance 450 plate shoes shredding laces

I love my 450's but I go through laces like crazy..they shred..the ones that came with the shoes, and any replacements I've bought at sports or outdoor store. Any suggestions for super laces?

i saw titanium laces on line..they may be easier to find for me than parachute cord

I've used boot laces for the last year with NO problems.

Edit: Sorry, edited it to say "No Problems", since the original post conveyed the exact opposite of my intention...:rolleyes:

I think you could use a bicycle chain with these shoes, and still go throught them. I'm good for 3-4 pair per season..

I put the laces from my 350's, which were too long, into my 450's and solved that problem.

Make sure your shin guards fit properly and don't rub on the laces....boot laces are what I use...no issues.

thought I was the only one w/ this problem.. baught my first pair this season.. went to ty my shoe before my 4th or 5th game this season and they snapped.. went to the local new balance store the next weekend and they gave me free laces
