Tonight I worked my last game of the season (12U) as most of the teams are getting ready for state in a week or so.  Nice hot and sticky July evening.  After the top of the 3rd inning I walked over to my cooler that's hanging on the fence to get a drink of water.  My wife ( who ive told before not to talk to me during the games as I don't want her to take any crap from any fans who may not agree with my calls, balls/strikes etc.)  comes over and says, "hey do you need anything?"  I said no thanks I'm good I have a Gatorade and water right here, and with a big eatin' grin on her face says, "you know your shirt is on inside out right?"  I looked down to see indeed that somehow before I left the house I managed to put my shirt on inside out.  I found it actually funny that I made it to the 3rd inning and no one either seen it, or wanted to point it out.  Nice Blue!!!

I see nothing in any of the mechanics or rules manuals that says you should not wear your shirt inside out.  Can someone please direct me to that page for reference?

And yet, you do it all the time?

I have finished putting on my gear and then realized as I was trying to put my plate brush in my bag that I had them on backwards with the opening facing in... but knock on wood not my shirt as of yet.

We would, but you'd enter three or four wordy posts about how it doesn't matter, no one ever told you this, it doesn't apply at the level you work, you don't see what's wrong with it, it's a FED interp and you only work OBR (or vice versa), ...

I'm confused: isn't irony saying the opposite of what you mean?

The irony is in making a unnecessary useless comment about someone making unnecessary useless comments.

Rule set is key here.

Hey you just get to use it twice as long before having to wash it.  1 day right side out then the next day inside out.  Saves time and money.

Same goes for underwear but you can go 4 days on those...:o  But I'll let you figure out how that works out yourself. :D

I almost want to make it a tradition now every year on my last game of the year.  But I don't know if I'll have the balls to actually pull it off.
