Won't it be great when this pitch is called a strike?

No kidding.  Love when a catcher tells me it's where it crosses the plate. I remind him that I'll start calling that pitch a strike the next time he comes to bat.

The guys on MLB network say some stupid stuff, but the other night,Preston Wilson may have said the dumbest. most uneducated statement ever. There was a similar pitch, and Wilson says "That caught the zone,it's a strike".Harold Reynolds says, "Presentation, Wilson, the catcher needs to catch that the right way to get that call.....Preston replies...."Theumpire should keep his eyes fixed on the front of the plate..Why should he be watching the catcher??"  :banghead::bang:

You must love the agita MLB gives you @Richvee. I cannot listen to some of those asshats, so very rarely does that channel appear on my television.

I hear stuff like that from players and recall an encounter from when I was coaching.

Volunteer Dad behind the plate and another Dad has a disparaging comment about a call.  Volunteer Dad takes off his mask and offers the mask and a ball to the griper and asks, "Do you want to do this?"

Griper shut up and we didn't hear a peep for the rest of the season. Griper never did take a turn behind the plate that season.

Everyone is an expert until they strap 'em up.
