FPSR in Fed?

Typically, this call should be coming from PU rather than U1.

I get that U1 can make this call but PU usually has a better look as he does not need to worry about following the play to 1B. In this situation there was no throw and no need to follow a ball to 1B, so U1 did not to have to leave the cleanup to PU, but the play did not seem to be a clear cut FPSR that a wider view may have offered a better view of.

I wonder what kind of pregame they had and what kind of post game they had.

It looks to me, and I may be wrong, that this is a cross body slide. Notice that his leg are off to the side and not going straight into the bag. If the runner slides it must be directly into the bag. Legs, trunk, and arms. The NCAA manual explains that part very well.

Typically U1 would stay with it, but I was just interjecting some thought that perhaps PU still has a better look and was wondering if the two of them had any deiscussion about it after the game.

My vote is in the "Good Play" column.  Very poor footwork by F4.  Runner went right at the base.

All the contact looked to be on or in front of the base.

Completely off topic, but U1 starts the video with short sleeves and ends the game wearing a jacket.

Looking at this first time in real time I'd have made the same call. Dissecting frame by frame and in slow motion, I would agree with some others' opinions. It's a judgement call. I'd have an easier time explaining to the OC why I made the call than to the DC why I didn't.
