I've asked Majestic, and Jim Kirk at Ump Attire, ...he's going to try and find out.  I'm assuming you're referring to the light-weight ones worn in last nights WS game 2?

here's the jacket if you're interested ...... it has zippers on it .... early renditions showed the zippers highlighted in dark gray, now they look black.  Also,  ....a white stripe at the wrist area coming up the arm ......

My favorite jacket of all time (maybe I'm biased because it was my first pro jacket):

They've been wearing it all year.  I don't think its light weight.

Yes, it's new this year ....and it's not the "new" Therma Base, and, ...it's not the Cool Base jacket ....  I'd venture to guess it's in between

The jacket is more like a technical soft-shell. Majestic is a sibling-company to The North Face, and it's likely there's a crossover on this jacket. It lacks the zip-off convertible sleeves, so it's not a replacement for the very versatile, oft-used Convertible jacket.

It might be more of a replacement for the shoulder-striped, hefty ThermaBase jacket. There is a chest pocket, and its zipper, along with all other zippers, are seam welded, so it's intended to be more of a wet & wind -blocking jacket.

Streamlined and sharp. I found it odd Majestic offered the Convertible in Navy as well as Black (but appealing, because I bought one of each), but I'll be shocked if this latest jacket is offered in navy.

This is not the Therma Base (shoulder striped) replacement.  That jacket they use ...and you'll probably see that one in NY tonight.   That's the "Double Climate".  This appears, again, to be in between the Cool Base, and the heavier Therma - Double Climate

We can tell is the off-season, when we become the fashion police.:rollinglaugh:

no one is criticizing what is being worn.  That would be "fashion police" ....

We're just a bunch of gear whores!

While we are discussing jackets, instead of opening another thread, how do you like the smitty mlb style umpire jacket? How does it do in cold weather (40F to 50F [4C to 10C if you use metric])? Does anyone have the Majestic? Same question.     I've been looking to get a jacket for the colder weather. I have Plus Pos black pullover, but it does little to nothing in cold weather.

I've got a bunch of the smitty mlb style. I'm meh on them but I paid $10ish apiece for them so worth it. In mildly cool weather they are hot because they really hold in the heat, like wearing a plastic bag so you sweat alot. I like them for the plate when it's 40-60 cold. I won't wear it on the bases over 65, its to hot. Since it traps the heat, over the gear it's light to wear without bulk. They wash well, don't wrinkle easily, and run true to size for plate sizing. It is good for rain, but again if it's a warm rain, it's too hot. It's also a good wind block. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

@Thunderheads I think you're wrong.  This is the therma replacement.  the one you're talking about didnt make it. No one liked it. I saw it in person, it is garbage.

The one we are talking about.  And now the question remains..."When are we going to see it accessible to us?"  they have been using it pretty much all year, its obviously been endorsed by them.

Gentlemen,

I know we have not been able to find the Majestic version of these coats, but I think I have found a (knock-off) version.

Look up Walter Hagen Men's Golf Rain Jacket and you will find a version that closely represents the Majestic Version seen sporadically this year in the bigs.

Differences: No MLB Logo, No Majestic Symbol, No White Cuff.

Why might this be the jacket? Walter Hagen is a Wilson Company...Wilson Provider for MLB umpire equipment...IDK?

Thoughts?
