Balk & HBP - OBR

Ok - so we know a balk is DDB in OBR, and you ignore the balk if all runner(s), including the BR, achieve their next base (so BR gets first).  Is there ever a case where a batter gets HBP on a balk and he gets first base?  For instance: 2 cases:

1. R3.  Balk and HBP.  Since R3 would not advance on a HBP, you enforce the balk.  Score R3 and leave the batter at the plate with a bruise.

2. R1.  Balk and HBP.  Since R1 would advance to 2nd on the HBP, do we ignore the balk and now have R1 & R2?

​No, in OBR and LL rules a balk is a delayed dead ball. if a play happens, and all runners advance 1 base then the balk is ignored. so the ball is not dead until the HBP.

​No.  Offensive team does not have an option in this scenario.

There is an option when a doctored baseball is delivered by the pitcher.  See 6.02(c)  2 through 7

​The choices are:

 

1) R3 scores; batter remains

2) Batter remains; R3 scores

 

Either way, the manager also has the option of acting like a doofus and arguing for a rule that doesn't exist. ("It was strange; the ruling went "against us"; therefor, the umpire must be wrong")

 

There's NEVER a choice on a balk, in any (major, baseball) code.

Yes, I think I missintepretated his "ultimately" and he missinterpretated my "right away".
