Horrible commentary. They are glamorizing it, even picking sides. I've had it once this season in a D2 series. The plate guy, a former marine, wasted no time telling both teams to stand down or they would be ejected.

"GET OFF THE FIELD ! ", won't work...they think there is safety in numbers...they'll ignore you no matter how loud you bellow.

I had this happen to me on end-of-the-season senior night. I wasn't prepared. I did what had to do to get them off the field. I'd handle it differently, if I had to do it over. Have a plan for this dumb-assery.

It sounds like this took place while the plate meeting took place so the umpires didn't have to deal with it. Or did/should they have. I heard it on the radio. Announcers were aclowns, not a clue.
