Could interference be ignored on this because the ball didn't prevent a defensive player from being able to field it cleanly, since Rosales was pretty much at 2nd base? Or could it be that slowed the ball down, preventing the outfield from possible having a chance to throw him out at 3rd?

I can't see the video. Link brings me to the U-E home page...Anyway, once a batted ball hits the runner in front of a fielder, it's a dead ball. There can be no further play.

it is an interesting play in that it demonstrates the case play in the MLBUM that this is INT even though f4 was not in position to field the ball, the ball had not gone "through or by" an infielder, therefore, INT.

Just to piggy back on this,,,,,Would this be "PLAY ON", no INT in FED if F3 was in on the grass? (String theory? )

Based on F4's position, I would say no. To not get interference in a Fed game, fielders would have to be obviously in front of the runner. YMMV

I agree with ricka -- INT in all codes, even if F3 is playing in.

 

And, it's very hard to see this as U2 / BU  when you are turning / etc.  Good job by the crew getting together.

​Doubtful: we'd be moving back to cover the steal of 2B, and might get a step forward when the ball was hit. This is a fluke play, and the crew is lucky there were 4 of them. A 2-umpire crew could easily miss this.
