Where is a good place to buy fitted hats, in black and dark blue, that I can have my association name put on them. Our local retailer changed the hats they have this year and the sm/med is too big and it looks like a 70's trucker hat on me, it's so tall. I'd also prefer cloth over whatever stretchy material my new hat is. I wouldn't mind to throw in a non-fitted hat into my case also. There are days I'd like to throw my pony tail out the sizing hole rather than put it up when BU. I need both the four stitch and six stitch.

Is it possible for you to wear fitted hats? Find a brand and size that fits you well, then you can order from almost any of the on-line places. Most of them will embroider (for a big cost) or you can check to see if you have someone local that can match what you want (embroidery). You can get sized by measuring your head and calling the suppliers with the measurements.

Lots of different brands out there, and they all size a little different.

Aw, @Tksjewelry... In the words of Telly Savalas...

"Who loves ya baby?"

Epic Sports is where you'll want to go: http://baseball.epicsports.com/cat/908/umpire-hats-helmets.html

And here's what I've been doing for embroidery: http://umpire-empire.com/index.php?/topic/61467-info-and-tips-for-first-timer/&do=findComment&comment=269256

And yes, I too think that the NEW IMPROVED UMPIRE-EMPIRE LOGO would look ravishing on an umpire hat (*cough* @Umpire in Chief *cough cough* )! Glad you were going to suggest that! ;)

@MadMax would you know if those sizes are the same as, or correspond too, Stetson sizes? I'm a 6 1/2 Stetson, which are the only fitted hats I have ever owned.

My old Richardson hat fits great but the new one, in the same supposed s/m size, is WAY to big. Too bad too, the old ones are great hats!

Yes, @Tksjewelry, you'll want the Serge Fitted hats from Richardson in "Stetson" sizes. I'm a 7 1/2, dead on. The Flex Fit ones (S/M, M/L, L/XL) tend to lean towards the top end of their range.

Serge, of course, is a wool blend.

Be careful when ordering.  There are 3 different fitted caps, and you have to look in the fine print in the light blue bar above the product image to see if the one you are ordering is 4, 6, or 8 stitch.

Richardson hat sizes are somewhat inconsistent. I have worn Richardson hats for over 10 years. Had three or four dozen by now. Size 7 is what I always order. Some fit snugly. Some are loose and some are just right. I have to wash the large ones in hot water and dry them in the dryer to shrink them. They can be stretched a little but not much. I have cut the sweatband inside to loosen them up.  They are still a good hat though last better than ProLine and look better than New Era which still has the super high crown by the way....the 70's and 80's called and want their hats back

My .02......
