I'll keep you posted on how long it takes and pics when it comes back.  The new DF harness is on the way too!  Can't believe that I'm spending $250 (shipping charges included) for a CP!  When it returns I'll have a Wilson charcoal to sell that has seen some minor league action!

Mine took 3 1/2 weeks in Feb so yours should be as fast if not faster since it is during the season and they won't have as many to do.

I got a used WV platinum with intention of sending it in. To bad it's so large. Kinda bummed. Looking forward to see how yours comes out.

Just got mine back yesterday. I bought a brand new one from U-A and got it shipped straight there. Took 3 weeks and 2 days. Used it for the first time today and like it a lot!

$250????

My retro-fit cost me $150, including shipping.  Tack on another $30 for the Delta Flex you're at $180.  Why $70 more??

I paid 90 shipped for a used platinum...then 150 for the retrofit...and $25 for the harness....$265 give or take!

Correction...the harness was 40...so we are at $280!

With that money you could purchase a Force3 chest protector.  Many people complained about the cost of the Force3 cp but they are spending more than that getting Golds and Platinums retro fitted.

My UE F3 experiment ended with a bruise to the left of my sternum on an 86MPH shot that the catcher didn't glove.  No thanks...unless they plate Version 2.0 with plastic plates.

Did you communicate with them and provide photographic evidence of this allegation?  I'm pretty sure their customer service department will want to hear from you and your concerns.

No...just sold it.  A photograph of my chest wouldn't make it through their web filter! :-)

Well, FWIW, for the first time wearing my WVG w / TW Retro,  I took a direct foul ball hit center sternum 2 nights ago doing Big League BB. Heard it but didn't feel it. Heard all the "oohs & ahhs" from the players & spectators. One lady was certain I was hurt. Honestly guys, NOTHING! . . . (and damn glad of it!)

SJA :-)

So far I noticed I have been using my WVG TW more than my UE about a third of the time more. Not sure why other than my WVG TW is very comfortable and the UE slightly pinches my neck. I guess the old reliable WVG TW just keeps calling me.

@Mr Ump

Did you remove the little neck extension piece yet?  I had to do that since I don't have a very long neck. After removing it and the pec "wings" with the Delta Flex I've found the perfect fit for me with the UE

The pinch is higher than where the little neck piece is. The side piece don't bother me.

How do you like it BillKen? Did you work that Thur game with it? I like the feel of the material and it is much cooler than before with the foam. Mine is also winning the war 3 x 1 with my UE in which one i grab to put on. i am just loving the slimmed down profile look. I watched a video of myself working with it on and really looks like I had nothing on.

Only used it once...it was all good.  The pad on the Platinum at the top/center bugs me a little how it pushes against my neck, but I know it is protecting me so I just have to get used to it.   The AllStar harness keeps the CP up high on the neck...that is an adjustment..I find myself trying to pull it down.  Didn't take any shots, but I have complete confidence in it.

So is this your first WVP and you sent it out? Yes the pad is why I have a WVG vs WVP. Personal preference but I didn't think I needed the pad. WV do sit up high which is a good thing. The neck / shoulder shot for me is going to hurt more than the chest shot. None of them are fun, that's for sure.

Bill,

I had a wvg and a wvp at the same time and was trying to decide which to retro. I went with the wvp for 2 reasons: 1) I like the one piece collarbone plastic pieces 2) I liked the shape of the wvp pad more that the wvg flaps and plastic area.

Upon getting the wvp back I noticed the neck bubble being much more prominent and removed it with a seem ripper. I then worked on the shoulders to curve them more since the profile changed dramatically. I really like it. If you want pictures pm me your number and I wi get you some tomorrow.

Yes...I bought the WVP used and have been primarily using a WV Charcoal for the past 3 years.  I think that the original WVP padding is soft and the neck pad gets absorbed more by that softer foam.  The TW padding is firmer...so you feel that neck pad more.  I'm contemplating doing what @JoHart10 recommends and taking the pad out.  It is not a mission critical piece.  I'm going to work some showcase ball this weekend and see if I can live with it.  If it bugs me, I'm taking it out.
