Top 6.  UT player hits a triple.  UCI appeals that he missed first base and it's upheld.  Looks like he stepped over it with his left foot and missed.  HUGE call in a scoreless game where neither team had even reached 2B to that point.

Enjoying this CWS. Love the miked umps. Great job by F3 looking for touch of 1st on that triple.

Yes it was huge.  Tony Walsh from my hometown of Memphis is the PU.  Also believe he is the UIC for CWS.  That mask he's wearing looks like it might be sporting the new Wilson pads.  Haven't caught a good closeup shot yet.

Scott Irby did a great job at 1st last night. He really sold that appeal call. Looked great. TW's zone was very good. The only one that I thought was questionable was when he rung up the 2nd batter in the 9th on the outside pitch.

So I'm not alone. 

The replay I saw almost looked like he drug his heel across the top of the bag but it was great heads up on watching the foot by F3.

 

Not a peep from the 1B coach or head coach.  They knew.

That's the pitch the NCAA video says "is not a strike".
