Any notice the mask/Pads home plate umpire was wearing last night in Vanderbilt/UC-Irvine game last night. I think it was Jeff Head, looked like top mask pad was black and bottom one was a tan, thought it had a demarini logo on it but never got a clear view to tell for sure.

He had a Demarini logo sewed onto it.  I thought he was a really good umpire last night.

Funny - the plate ump for TX Tech and Ole Miss has a demarini logo on his TWs

Most likely just a licensing deal that Wilson had with the CWS to have the DeMarini logo more prominent. They'll sell more bats out of players and parents watching the CWS than umpire masks from umpires watching.

Jeff Head usually only wears Nike masks. As far as I know he has 3 or 4 of them and has Team Wendy pads on all of his masks

We are in the Association of College Umpires out of Alabama. Jeff is one of our best umpires we have! This is his 2nd or 3rd time to the CWS

I know we have all noticed that all the umpires in the CWS are wearing the new style jerseys from Honigs...I have the majestic ones...do the Honigs ones run small?

 

They all look like they are wearing a size too small...especially on the dish. The MLB guys don't sport such a slim fit look.

I can work any level non-conference ball. I am just a guy trying to make the move up into a D1 conference and live my dream of getting to the CWS. I'm in a D2 conference currently.

They are actually the correct size and I believe to be the most comfortable shirt on the market. The other XL's are way more than any XL I have in a tshirt or regular shirt. Those Honigs feel good.

I would say the shirts are sized for bases, so size up for plate.  However, ...sizing up won't make it TOO BIG to wear on the bases either!  Love the new Honig's stuff,....nice material!!

The MLB Honig's shirts definitely run small and are sized for the bases. They also have shorter sleeves which is the reason why they are looking so small and tight on the CWS crews. 

 

They are excellent shirts though and the material is great but I believe it is only being used on their MLB shirts not the other colors.

SORRY! Their new MLB shirts are the same material as their newest shirt they came out with last year I think?  Very soft, nice stretch, very comfortable!
