It's Official! - I Am Off The Dole and Employed By The Wounded Warrior Project

I start Monday, June 9 as the Senior Benefits Liaison/Veterans Service Officer for the newly forming Kansas City Office of The Wounded Warrior Project.

 

It is a position I have wanted for some time and believe I am perfectly suited for. The interview process started for me in February and proceeded through five separate interviews to ensure I was the right fit for the job.  I am very happy to be "on the bus" and that I will be a part of a team effort with a noble purpose.

 

I've made and spent a LOT of money over the years but other than the money, my heart just wasn't in what I was doing.  This position will allow me to utilize my legal, organizational and leadership skills, experience and training for what I believe is a just and worthwhile cause and purpose.

 

I don't know all of my duties and responsibilities yet but I do know I am highly motivated to pursue this endeavor.
