I love when I actually get to rotate AND make a call.

Great call, great positioning.

Was timing a bit quick???? :question1:

Holy moly is that close.  I think I would probably have safed him since the tag was on the hip, but that might be why I'm not in the big leagues!  Possible that he got him on the elbow though.  I think this one may have stood on replay whether he would have been ruled safe or out on the field.

reminds me of a Varsity game @Trakes2 and I had last week ... Friday ....

He's on the plate ....I'm in A ....

Shot down the line curving toward the line ...over my head .........I turn .....run, and get set .... point the ball fair, watch F9 field it and watch him throw it into second base, ....I start jogging in to see Trakes2 standing at 2nd ............."SAFE! SAFE!"

As I approach, the second baseman looks at me and says .... "where were you? I was looking for YOU to make the call, but your partner did" ....  I smiled and said ..."rotation baby... I had the fair/foul call on the line, ...he takes the runner!"   He smiled, nodded and said .... "sweet!"   :D

That was YOU?!?

Hey, great call. :)

I could only wish. Its Paul Nauert.  I will say Paul is one of the best instructors I've had on any subject. And I'm saying that even considering he liked to bust my chops when I gave him the opportunity, and for better or worse, I gave him plenty of opportunities.  :smachhead:

The best part if the whole thing was the SS (who laid the tag down) was so confused as to why I was making the call... He looked from me back to Thunder about 3 times and you could see his wheels turning "where the hell did you come from...? He told me he got the tag down in time, and I told him it was close but it was a great slide, and the runner most definitely stuck it!...as I'm jogging back to home and get to the circle the HC comes out to check with me, (just to see what I had)and as he does he tells me he wanted to make his team think he was checking, BUT really just wanted to say "great hustle, and great call..."

We had the same team a day later for a DH and he still couldn't get over how flawless the rotation was... Gives me an umpire-boner

... Gives me an umpire-boner

A phrase you could only use here, unless you wanted to convey a very different meaning!
