Brand new 17"  They are way to big for me. I could send them back to Ump-attire but I'd have to pay shipping. So I would probably rather sell or trade.

I could use a new pair of Honigs Polywools or offer me something.

Suggestion, free, because of a FB comment, they came to you, the same way should go.  Make the winner paid for the shipping.  BTW I use the 18.5" model so don't think I'm saying that to get them for free.  :fuel:

Yes they came to me free. I did say that on another post on here.

 

But why shouldn't I get something for them.

 

I donate free stuff all the time to our local youths Umpires.

 

So asking for a sale or trade I think is fair.

This is fair.  I will relate a similar story:

 

Last year as some of you know, a few of us had an opportunity to "test" some +POS gear that we received free of charge.  I tested a mask for a few games and then donated it to one of our junior umpires who needed a mask.  I got it for free, so he did too (truth be told I would have given it to him even if I had paid for it to help him out).

 

Fast forward to this spring - I sold a lot of surplus equipment over the winter and was without a backup mask :smachhead: .  A member here had the identical +POS mask (he also got it for free last year in the same deal and never used it) for sale, I paid what he was asking (which was near full retail price) and we both were happy, I got what I wanted and he got the cash he was looking for.  I felt no need to "break his balls" over it nor clutter his for sale thread with nonsense about how he got it for free, I felt better buying it here and helping out a fellow umpire.

I'm 5'8"

 

Funny thing is I wear the All-Stars LGU1000's 17" and they are perfect.

Have you ever tried +Pos shins...I have them in 15in...they are just long enough. I am 5'7 so I fear these would probably be to big for me too.

I appreciated the cash...used it to get a couple of frames Powdered by Mask-it. Should have them back next week. I too like selling stuff here. You know someone is going to appreciate it and most people don't price gouge. Good community here at UE.

I will..in a new thread on the Equipment Forum. He says he is sending them back to me on Friday. Hoping to get my HSM shell back about the same time.
