Is anyone familiar with homerunmonkey.com?

 

On their site it says they do a price match plus 5% from a select few stores.

 

I am going to purchase a West Vest Gold and A3409 leg guards.  The protector on cheapbats.com is $139.95 and the shin guards (out of stock currently) are $89.95.  I figure the worst case is they won't give me the match plus 5% for the shin guards since they don't have them.  Best case is I get a brand new WV Gold and WV Shin Guards for less than $220 shipped.

 

If anyone knows of any better places to buy both of either of the two above items, please let me know.

What size are you looking for? 16"-17" or 18"-19".  I have one pair 18"-19" brand new that I'm willing to sell or barter.

Check epic sports too. Them and cheapbats.com have the lowest prices that I have found. Just purchased the platnium from cheapbats.com

Thanks. I bought my WVG from cheapbats.  Homerun Monkey didn't match the price on the leg guards (because they were out of stock at cheapbats) and even with their 5% markdown it would have ended up costing me more to buy the Gold from HR Monkey instead of cheapbats because of shipping.

 

Cheapbats says they'll get the leg guards in stock in early April, so I'm fine with using my old leg guards for a few games since doing so saves me $30.

 

Can't wait to use the chest protector.  I have a scrimmage this week that will probably be canceled because of the winter storm, so I'll be able to use it at my first regular season game a week from tomorrow.

uxman09, I plan on breaking in the platnium in the morning, i have a two day tourny starting tomorrow. Should have bought a bag from them to but I didn't. Epic sports has the best prices on them, gonna choose between champro and wilson and purchase one next week.

Sounds like a store that either drop ships or doesn't keep inventory.

I ordered my WVG from them. There were no problems with them. It is a store with no inventory. It takes 8-10 for the order to be processed and then the standard shipping time. It will likely be.a couple of weeks. The other thing to no about Epic is they have a very punitive return policy.

Of course they do. If they're not keeping stock they either have to pay to return it to where they bought it or store it themselves until someone else buys it.
