I will freely admit to being not so smart as my smart phone, so please help me out if you can. I'm not savvy enough with this phone to figure out the search on the forum so if you can post a link to another thread that's cool too.

My question is, are any of the big names selling the new MLB style shirts? I know OC had some, but I have never gotten OC product that I liked. There are a couple of guys in my JUCO group that had them last year, I'm sure there will be more this year, and I would like to grab a couple colors. Its not mandatory Yet, but I'm sure that will be coming down the pipe soon.

Thanks

Tom

Thanks Jeff and PLA greatly appreciated. I just got the Honigs Cat on Tue, haven't opened it, but now I will! Few things in this world that are as reliable as a Honigs Shirt IMHO. Appreciate the help!

10-4!!

The Smitty's versions are very nice ...

also, at the Official Call, you'll see only a black version ....that shirt is VERY nice! Terry's a great guy over there, give it a whirl if you're looking for something to keep you cool when it's hot, and still want to wear black!

Also, double -check w/ Honigs on their sizing on the mlb style shirts, ......you know how that goes! ;)

The Smittys run big...at least last year's model did.

The MLB style shirts were a part of their 2012 collection. Smitty's changed their sizing for 2012 to have their shirts sized for plate (all of their shirts), so .... if you ordered a Smitty's MLB style shirt and ordered the size you used to get w/ Smitty, then yes, they run big.

Now you know ...........the rest of the story :)

Sweet. Being in the FL sun and loving to wear black I will have to give Terry's a shot. Silly ? #2, a while back I think it was sdix that did a break down on sizing and stuff for uni shirts, and as I recall you did some work with that, any idea if the new stuff is falling into the general areas for Smitty and Honigs? Just curious. Thanks Jeff

Mind Readers!

LOL!!! :D

I dont' know about Honigs, just call them .......... but Smitty's should be the same as last year with the newer sizing (sized for plate ...which makes the most sense).

Terry's shirt you need to size UP for plate, ...they're sized for bases. That said, double check his site .........

I have a few of the OC MLB Style and I love them. Great Material, Fit great and look great.

I am sure they will have a sale soon.

I get mine when they have their $10 and $15 sales. Can't beat it. Highly recommend them.

Jax, when I looked at the pics and some video, I thought I noticed the OC MLB-style shirts standing out a bit because their stripe around the arm and down the side was thicker. Is that something you noticed?

Just read on another, older thread that the stripes are wider, brighter, AND the buttons are a different color. I dunno, can't see why I'd order that and hope I didn't stand out too much.

Some of their shirts are noticeably different than their norm. (ie their navy is substantially darker and the blak has a bolder white piping on the cuff and collar) but some are in line with the standard.

This was the case with the older style shirts. Have not noticed it with the new style. But now you have me wondering, so I will compare my smitty with the oc in the morning.

As far as the newer style pro shirts the way to go has to be Majestic. The OC shirts are noticeably different than all the other brands making the pro style shirts. I haven't seen the Smitty's in person but I've never been happy with anything Smitty I've ever bought so I tend to steer clear of them anyway. I have seen the Honigs and I thought it was a decent shirt and it didn't look too different than the original majestic but it didn't seem to fit as well as the majestic. I have both the black and the pro blue Majestic pro style shirts and I love them. They fit great and on a hot day they they breath extremely well and are very cool. I even wore the black one on a few back to back youth ball games on the plate in the middle of the day last summer and it felt perfectly fine, and that was here in Texas when it was 100+. The only thing I would say bad about the Majestics is that when you first get them they are a little itchy but I just ran them through the washing machine and dryer a few times and they were smooth as silk. Right now the only place I know that is carrying them is Ump-Attire, which is fine by me their service is top notch.

Do you have side by side pics so we can see the difference.

Most of us here the OC and they are very nice shirts.
