I'm sure he saw the miss pretty clearly or else he wouldn't have been so eager on the appeal call. In fact, did he call the out on the appeal too soon? Did the kid even get to say which runner he was appealing?

I went to Wendelstedt's this year as well and actually was on the same field as Cody. He turned out to be a decent umpire. All in all, the experience was amazing, and I had no regrets whatsoever in going, even though I was not aiming for a pro job. Met lots of fantastic people and learned a crap ton as well. It was also great that the school beefed up the instructor staff this year, adding additional guys, and having Bob Davidson around for handling situation was a blast. If anyone wants to know anything other details or have any questions, I'd be happy to answer. I'm probably more at liberty to be on forums and such than Cody. - Felix

Are you going for a job? I hope that I get a roommate with a desire to go pro. My overall goal is to be in the top five of my class. I know thats a tough goal but you have to aim high right? @Codyw09 I probably will be one of the few people who won't be aiming to go pro since I have a career that I really enjoy. But, that doesn't mean I'll be taking it easy and won't be busting my chops down there. No problem at all. We'd love to hear more about your time there. Same. Would love to hear about your experiences at Evans, what you liked, what could be better, etc. Just to reiterate off my response in the other thread, I'm planning on going to one of the schools in 2012 and am trying to figure out which is a better fit for me. For Mazz and anyone else have gone in the past, Any chance you guys can provide a what you liked and what you think could be better about Wendeltstedt's or just talk about your experience there in general? I'm looking to go in 2012 and am trying to figure out which of the schools would be a better fit for me. Not looking for a argument or anything about which school is better since I know going to any of them would make me a better umpire. Just trying to get a sense of what it's like and how each school is different. Thanks. Note, I'm NOT looking for a pro job.
