Majestic Therma Base Umpiring Jacket

Hello from VF LSG/Majestic: Over the past few months there has been a lot of discussion about having the ability to purchase the Majestic 1JU0 Therma Base Umpiring Jacket with blk/wht/blk/wht/blk rib knit inserts on the shoulder. In the very new future, Majestic dealers will have the opportunity to place prebook orders for this jacket. We'll also offer this jacket in Navy with nav/wht/col/wht/nav rib knit inserts. This last options is being discussed for use at the collegiate level. Our nationwide network of Team Dealers and Umpiring Specialty Stores will contacted concerning this offering in the next few months. Since these will not be stocked, it will be important that you get your order into your dealer before July 1, 2011. These jackets are imported and we have minimum production numbers that have to be hit. If we get enough orders for these jackets we can have them built. It takes a total of 5 months to get these jackets in. Once they're received at Majestic, we'll do a thorough QC check to ensure that they meet our rigid specifications. Upon completion of this audit, we'll have them ready to ship. Our intent would be to have these ready to ship to dealers by 1/1/2012. We've taken your recommendations to heart and we want to offer you the best Umpiring apparel in the industry. We appreciate you support and be sure to get your orders in by July 1, 2011. Unfortunately orders placed after that date won't be honored. Details of this program will be communicated to team dealers, retailers and Umpiring Specialty stores by May 1, 2011.

I agree with Major. Jim if you read this put me down for 1 as well. I have one already. But like the old fred astaire saying, "if it fits and you love it, buy one in every color." you never know how long till MLB changes their mind again and a great jacket will be gone.

I hope when the suppliers get the word communicated to them in May that they let us know. I will be first in line. I tried on one of the black w/blue and white insert jackets at a scrimmage last night. Wow...I really like the fact that they run a little bigger than the 2009-2010 Majestic Therma Base MLB team jackets. It is also an extremely comfortable jacket.

I liked it so much that after freezing during my scrimmage last night I ordered the Navy version of the umpire therma base. Most guys around here still wear Navy when it comes to jackets. I want a black one as well, but I really do not want to go through the added expense of buying the stripes and paying a tailor to change it out. I will be just fine waiting around till next year and paying around the $90 (w/shipping) that I paid for my Navy one last night.

Hopefully it will arrive by Friday so I can wear it for a scrimmage that should be fairly cold. I am looking forward to wearing it on the bases. I like my pullovers for behind the plate (I am a tucker).

We just placed our order for them. Majestic is totaling orders and is hoping for a certain minimum before they proceed. I foresee them meeting the minimum on the black with b/w stripes so am hopeful all the stars will align there for a January 2012 delivery date.

I got my navy blue one for Christmas. It has quickly become a favorite of mine along side the WV Gold CP and All Star FM25-Ti FM. Highly recommended if you do any games in the 40's.
