I have been the new material...it is a HUGE improvement over last seasons shirts. I was told that it is very simular to the Ump-Attire.com material, however, I have not put the 2 of them side by side. I hear Jim's shirt is very nice, but at $30 +, it might be out of range for some....... Merry Christmas!

Just ordered last week. Got the order sent to family in Washington State (they don't ship to Canada). It will be brought up to me at Christmas so I'll let you know my thoughts in the New Year.

jnazz and nublue, please post up when you guys get them. I am debating over trying the Ump-Attire.com over Honig's...

I hope they fixed the collar issue, I had a creme shirt that has started to frey...Also they tend to run a bit small...and very little stretch to the fabric.

I have 2 of each color from Ump-Attire, and I have to admit, they are quite amazing! I have a few Dalco, a couple Honig's, and a few Ump-Attire shirts. Ump-Attire shirts are without a doubt the better of the three brands. I think it all boils back to putting money into your hobby. Some buy the softshell CPs that last a season or two, while others go all out and get the Wilson hardshell CPs that they know they will have for as long as they need it. This is the same way I look at the shirts. I feel the Ump-Attire shirts will last as long as I want to wear them, whereas my Honig's shirts are probably about finished. I know that I only got them last year, but that isn't my fault that Honig's tried to squeeze the customers for a couple years! However, I have not tried the new shirts and don't think I will...Just my two cents!

I probably would not have ordered them if i did not have some credit with them that I needed to use up. If I were spending my own cash... I would certainly go for the ultimates.

I ordered a Shirt from them with the Federation Patch already attached and they sent me a Pakistani one. That Sucks!

Which I had known. I would have ordered the better shirt and put the patch on myself.

I noticed in the new Honig's catalog I got today that New Balance is now the official shoe of the MLB umpires. I wonder what that means for Reebok?

I took advantage of their clearance sale this year and ordered 6 of the micro-mesh shirts that if you bought a pair of at a time they were only 12 a piece If I remember? I bought mainly "off" colors, cream, red, and powder with the red/blue cuff. This is my first time ordering these micro mesh shirts, anyone have any thoughts or suggestions for wear? They do not look to be the best shirts, especially around the collar, but I normally wear smitty shirts, and because these arent the traditional Navy I can't use them during HS season around here ( IN and MI ) so I don't expect to be wearing them every day. Also don't have a regular partner ( I like to travel around too much, don't like to do the same organization or team every week ) and am always at the mercy of who I am working with.

I also bought a pair of their patent low cut plate shoes. They look and feel fantastic around the house. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Lastly, I also bought last years model of the triple knee leg guards, the price couldnt be beat, and I thought if I liked them I would use them to replace my older Diamond guards?

Any thoughts on what I bought or experiences with this equipment would be appreciated!

P.S. I LOVE the smitty comfortec shirts, they are bulletproof and never snag!

Wear them in a game now? I don't know why you're wanting our thoughts so much.....you bought the stuff.

New shirts feel GREAT. Very comfortable and has good stretch. Collars also seem durable. Only drawback is that the polo is not an exact color match to Majestic (my shirt is more on the purple side compared to the Majestic).

I also ordered a few +POS black shirts (they are their "new style" shirts). They are very similar to the new Honig's shirts in material used. These new shirts are true to size unlike the old +POS shirts (no need to order a larger size). As far as I know, Dan only has the black shirts in the new style so far. He told me more colors will be available in the New Year. He also just received charcoal slacks and new jackets which soon will be posted on their website. It will be interesting to see the charcoal pants' color and quality.

Ok, ..so I just realized Honig's is blowing out their old shirts. Has anyone received an 'old style' shirt in the last few months? If so, ...how is the sizing? Anyone have a measurement across the chest on a recent Honig's 'old style'??

Thanks

The old style shirts are fine order a navy and a cream and they fit good. The new style has more a scratchy feeling to the fabric which takes some getting use to compared to the old shirts that have more a smooth fabric.

Looking for "sizing" of an old-style shirt that someone recently received....

Well when I ordered mine it was the full slate of sizes available. I would call the local office due to the website not always being up to date on info. Forgive me for not answering the question directly sir!

No worries!!;) What I'm looking for is, ....Honig's sizes vary quite a bit from lot to lot. I was wondering if someone could give me an 'across the chest' measurement of an XL Honigs shirt they received recently (within the past few months) to see how the latest lot is running ...........thanks!:D
