Yeah it is the one he raved about. Most places sell it for around $125. Right now Ump-attire has it on sale for $99.00, so the sale price at SOS is great.

I got one a few weeks back when he had them for $60 something...I ordered another this morning at the new crazy low price. Should be able to flip it to someone in my association and make a few bucks.

The price on Smitty Pants...$11 is incredible. And the shirt prices are crazy cheap...too bad I have more than enough shirts.

Got the Champro mask, two Smitty shirts, black Reebok base shoes ($17 and change), an ultimate belt, and a McDavid undershirt for about $72 just now. We'll see if I get all of the correct stuff. Someone on one of the boards said they don't always send the right thing.

Well, my Junior umpires will be getting some more hand-me-downs. Had to have one of those masks, and got the tan leather pads to drop in there. A hex pad for the forearm, just for those days when you have a goose egg on there already. A long sleeved shirt for a friend, and those gold mask sunshades that look ultra cool.

He runs his business out of his garden style home and has two garages he stores his stock in.

If you ever have a problem just contact him.

I bought plate shoes, hats, Pro 9 Bag and other items from him and actually got to see the operation because I drove the hour and half to his location. Cheaper to drive than have bag shipped.

He also brought his stuff to one of our HS Association meetings early in the year.

Wish I needed something or could afford to buy extra.

No that was tjthresh. I read his review though and was a little hesitant to buy from SOS. But freakin pants for $11, I figure it's worth a shot.

I also bought some Smitty shirts, and if I get anything but Smitty, I won't be happy.

I'll let you know what I get. If anybody else gets their shipment before mine, let us know.

I was one of the ones who received a dalcos instead of smittys. Unfortunately, due to the volume of games I worked over the last two and a half weeks (44 games in 15 days!) I had to use the Dalco shirts.

I picked up 3 s/s shirts, 1 L/S shirt, a black pullover, and 2 pairs of pants for the grand total of $75.27. Now the wait begins to see if I get what I ordered. My fear is that he got so hammered today, that he won't be able to fulfill all of our orders. Since it's a small operation, who knows if the sizes available update automatically on his website when orders are placed, or if he does it manually as he fulfills the orders. I guess we'll see.

Hey, I had one day off!

Actually, it was a season ending (or should I say two season ending) showcase tournaments. It was great baseball, and a lot of work, but we all had fun.

And actually for the 10 bucks I paid for the dalco, it is a good back up shirt. The one smittys that he sent me was an even better deal at 10 bucks, but I guess I can live with the dalco.

I know from experience, his website does not update based on his stock. I have learned if I want to order during one of his sales to do it first thing after the e-mail about the sale is sent.

One thing that I have started doing when I place an order is to add in the comment section that I do not want any substitutions. He just refunds me for what he does not have in stock and ships the rest. I like knowing what I get.

I am thinking that I got my my order in early enough (7:46 am CST) yesterday to get a great deal on the mask and I could not pass up buying another pair of base and plate pants...the flex fit smitty's. I had planned on going to Poly Wools next season, but in the past couple of weeks I have paid only about $60 and gotten four pair of Smitty Pants. I really like the way they feel and look. I think I will like them better than the GDs I have been wearing the past couple of years.

Also, the last time I placed an order during a sale it took him about a week to ship it. Just a heads up.

I hope you are right. I did notice that the mask is no longer on his website. So, I think he is updating the website after the flood of orders last week.

So far, I have not received an email regarding shipping and/or out of stock items.

Now, I have to figure out how to beat my wife to the package. :2cents:

What time did you place your order?

I placed mine Date of order: 8/12/2010 7:41 AM EST but have not received a shipping confirmation yet.
