First game of the college season for me. Temperature was 36, it began snowing at the start of the game and we had to suspend after the bottom of the 3rd inning. I had the bases and had on everything I could get on!

I just hope this isn't an indication of what the rest of the season will be like.

Try 40 mph winds, no sun in Nebraska on top of a hill. It was last year and thank god I was dishing, temperature 32degreess. I asked why are we playing and the HS said because we are on a winning streak. Whoa no arms by the end of a short season. My partner froze his "A" off and we thought it was over and just needed one out. Then the home team scored ten runs to tie it up in the bottom of the 5th. We played 7 innings, it was brutal and wound up 18-11. We actually had snow, sleet and still played last year. It looks like another bad spring. There will be no games until April with all the snow we have on the ground this year. Ump6

We don't have any scheduled up here yet just cage work and a few indoor scrimmages. Funny thing is that I'm in northern NY and we have no snow, just a few banks. We were spared this year. Usually we still have a 2-3 feet on the ground at this point. I can't wait to get out there.

I spoke too soon! It's now snowing and we're supposed to get 2-4. I should have known better by jinxing it like that. It's like saying to your partner in the 6th inning that the game is flying and you end up out there for another hour and a half...

First game of HS season completed. No arguments, no ejections. Kicked off at 1615 EST. Temp was about 55 degrees at game time. Dropped to about 40 by the end. As Ice Cube says, "today was a good day."

So i have had 13 canceled games so far this year...:notworthy:

I was suppose to have my 1st games today..LOL

I called the coach on sat to check in, confirm games times, all that good stuff..he yes everything is on... So sometime between Sat afternoon and this morning around noon when I showed up a hour before games time... (mind you i drove 130 miles for this double header) coach proceeds to tell me the game is canceled...He apologized..and I didnt want to get mad, ( at least there) and left back into my car, and drove back home 130 miles...LOL

about 10 mins later the other coach called and said they are gonna pay me the game fee's for there mistakes of not calling the assigner can telling him the games are canceled....
