I wear a Samsung Galaxy watch so I can track my steps. If they see me taking a peek and want to know why, I'll tell them how many steps I have for the day and how many more steps to hit my goal.

Timing can be too quick, even in this age of ABS. I have worked with umpires who have called the pitch prior to it getting to the plate, much less to the glove. Love your articles.

You are correct on the tread's kiss of death. Like walking on ice when they were gone. I did have them re-treaded and decided to sell them for cheap. Just not the same. Wish they still made them. By far my favorite plate shoes.

Judge got a strike 3 overturned the other day that was 1/10 of an inch low. He then crushed a HR.

Just moved to Dent County in Missouri and took a video of a herd of 33, counted them. About a 1/2 mile away was another field with about 20 deer in it. Gotta stock my freezer come this fall.

Have to say I love these leather pads from All Star. Feel nice on the face.

My fusion is in my lower back. It worked very well and didn't take long to get back on a field. But, over the years the same area has taken to become pained again and I have had to have two more surgeries to have spinal cord stimulators installed and have to balance between that and pain meds to alleviate the pain. Also have had nerves caurterized in the upper and lower area of my back. YMMD. Like you, I find not moving that area of my back to contribute to my pain. I try to walk at least 3-5 miles per day.

Not sure why these are being pushed as base shoes, unless you are using them on dry artificial turf fields? There are no nubs on these shoes. Brooks are basically running shoes, but they are outstanding shoes. I bought my first pair a few years ago, now own five pair, and will not use anything else for my walking or running.

Still beats having the umpires go into the dugouts pre game and visually inspect them. A lot of grief with that.
